Can BSS or someone at the club confirm the 1800 allocation from Coventry is not the final amount we are requesting? I have heard rumours that the police have set a restriction ,if true this will only lead to the inevitable invasion of the Rovers fans into the home parts of the ground. I would expect there to be a demand for over 3000 and hope that the club are pulling out all the stops to get the allocation increased.

4000. Poor business if they fail to allocate more than 1800, plod can just deal with it.

bowleggedchicken. Are you the same bow legged chicken from the old club site ? If so then great to see you here mate. I'm just getting ready for today. The life of a bachelor means I've got washing on and it needs out before I go. What don't you message Brian or just put an brianss in your post or whatever his posting name is on here.

Was quite relaxed about this, might need to move a bit if they don't give us many on Monday.
Hopefully is a case of another couple of thousand, which is basically 'bring as many as you can'

Standard practice to put an initial allocation on sale, and then get a second batch and/or tickets available on the day.
The initial allocation allows people to buy in advance (usually at a cheaper price) and also gives an indication what the size of the crowd might be. Rovers are applying for more on Monday. It's a big old (new) ground. Plenty of space for everyone. No need to worry! :-)

I'm out of the country until 23rd so I emailed the club to ask if I can pay on the day and had a reply telling me that it is an ALL Ticket match although the recent press releases don't indicate that.

The Ricoh doesn't have a full capacity license at the moment.

UTG Coventry Gas invasion Day For really selfish reason hoping this would be called off for international call ups as it was the one game I really would have hated to miss have worked in coventry a couple of times and have made a good few friends up there unfortunately myself and about sixty others including many of the old tote end veterans are off to Malaga for the infamous "Aggie smiths " 60 th birthday sad to miss this but I'm sure we will have a couple of drinks to celebrate another gas away victory 🍺🍺☠️☠️ Utg

I remember Coventry being one of the clubs who had been in the 1st division for the longest time, what a drop they are having, new stadiums dont always work out for the best.

Horace mate its sad for them they are proper fans and after last year Leicester winning the prem they hoped it would get better for them trouble is they don't own the ground think they might be moving to the rugby ground soon but if they do can't be a ground with more pubs round must be fifty plus within mile really looking forward to the trip maybe the last time we will ll be together all good boys who I've known for forty plus years definitely a trip not to fall asleep too early or you'll come back an eyebrow short maybe I'll post a couple of pictures

Yes it is sad for Coventrys fans I always felt a bit sorry for the fans of clubs like Accrington,Southport,Barrow,Workington etc but theres more in the Conference now with league history than ever, look at Stockport. One season out of the league was enough for me,I enjoyed it but i realise that things could have been much much worse.

I get that licencing for football may differ from rugby but I'm struggling to see how there can possibly be any problem with capacity. Coventry's home attendance average is 9000 but Wasps attracted almost 28000 for a recent game. Even allowing for segregation, "sterile areas" etc. they can surely cater for a crowd half the size of the rugby attendance. If not then they should prepare for a long spell in the football wilderness.

Yes, I noticed it mentioned in the next up section of the programme yesterday that it is all ticket for Rovers fans. I don't recall seeing that on any of the social media updates.

Coventry are owned by sisu a hedge fund company they never attend any matches including possibly Wembley it would seem the only reason they bought Coventry is for money laundering purposes and to promote their esteem to investors.
