Sinclair does whatever the manager asks, did he run all over the place showing a complete lack of discipline at right back v port vale? Did he not have a fairly long spell playing as a holding midfielder along with mansell in the conference? dc wants him to chase down opponents and scrap for the ball simple as that,in no way does he lack discipline,he will carry out the managers instructions to the letter just like the swindon home game when he was virtually a 3rd forward as ordered by dc. Cant you see this? Well actually he was out of position when he followed a player into the middle leaving a massive gap down the wing for the opposition player to have all the time in the world to put in a dangerous cross that Harris sliced into his own net Same thing happened to kante v liverpool,it happens to all players sometimes so what? it dosnt prove a damn thing

In his current role Sinclair has had a kind of second coming just when it seemed like he was drifting terminally out of favour. I think it shows a certain strength of character and grit to react well and comeback from a period where he clearly ceased to be seen as a key player. You can absolutely see why DC would want to have Sinclair around - seems like everything DC is about. A guy who had to battle like crazy to have the career he has and is clearly grateful for every minute he gets on the pitch. In the long run he may become surplus to req uirements if we push on but for the time-being I don't think there is anyone in the squad who does what he does and in the current way the team is set up that clearly has huge value - whereas in the previous set-up before Christmas- it didn't.

Sometimes that dosnt happen of course. I wasnt at vale park so was only able to watch the highlights on youtube so im unsure if sinclair made a mistake or not. If it was an error it does not prove anything other than it was a mistake. My point about sinclair is that sinclair plays how the manager wants him to play.
