....if we go through February avoiding defeat, DC deserves manager of the month award!
We may only have 6points.
I know the official award isn't adjudged this way, but if there was value to opponents in relation to where a team is, we would've performed admirably.
If you're all gonna pile into me, please not the face! !

I haven't got a problem with that. Quite happy with an away point. If we would have had thus defence first half of the season we would have been at least 12 points better off.

Four draws from four games is essentially relegation form. Yes, relative to who and where we've played its an OK return, but its not award-winning form.

You are right but if they factor in losing your top scorer and not being able to replace him then he is definitely 'miracle worker' of the month. How long before some bigger club comes in for him ?....depressing thought.

It would have great to go unbeaten before today, then win today.
We haven't beaten a side above us in the league all season, so expect to finish mid/just below half way. No problem with that.

Well to put it into perspective, only 3 teams in top 6 are unbeaten so far in Feb. Sheffield Utd are like a train, forget them..
Fleeetwood fair play haven't lost since just after Armistice Day. They've got their game together.
With the quality of opposition, 6points could've easily been nil.
At the very least, if it isn't awarded to DC, the winning manager would've played us....and not won!

As the Latvian says, one point per game is relegation form. But teams go down with one point per game by getting beat all the time, and barely winning any home games; not by drawing four or six in a row. An unbeaten run against classy players at proper clubs is worthy of real praise, if not awards.

Looking at our current squad, not sure it would be a great shout for say August to October.

Unbeaten is overrated;
Draw two games = 2 points Win one, lose one = 3 points

Unbeaten is overrated; Draw two games = 2 points Win one, lose one = 3 points You've summed up Darrel Clarke's entire management philosophy* in two simple equations. Genius. *up until the Rochdale game

But we've mixed it with the best of this division and come out of it with heads held high and undefeated. Whomever wins m o m I would never swap with DC.....absolutely amazing month and my manager of month by far. UptheGas!

Don't feel fed up and remember that DC has said this is all a part of his plan, to attain championship football over a period. As much as I'd love to be a part of an historic 3rd promotion, I wouldn't like to go up just to come back down again. DC is building a team that will be ready to compete at that level so it's going to plan, at least that is how I see it. My big worry now is that DC will be made an offer he just cannot refuse. I don't doubt his loyalty one bit but I wouldn't begrudge him a move were a truly big club come in for him. I would be gutted, of course, though I can't see that his work is not being noticed by those in lofty positions

I think this has been a good set of results for our self-confidence as a club. Really feels like we are back where we always should have been - a competent 3rd tier football club. We have shown we can match the best in this division comfortably -next stage is to push on from there. But there's not a team in this league who can outclass us and that's something to be quite proud given that it wasn't too long ago that we were being outclassed week in and week out by League 2 opposition.

I expect so, he's ambitious. I would hope though that, with their Rovers connections, the rest of the management team wouldn't go with him. I wouldn't have a problem with Marcus Stewart as Manager.
