RadBris said that today its a year since Wael & Co took over
they are just getting started, but I think many of us have found it a revelation
let's hope they have experienced enough to still want to dig in for the long term

In comparison to the shower before, we now have a luxury bubble bath!
Thankyou for taking our club on, with little or no change to our culture and help bringing success in our first year together.
A refreshing year with many happy memories, lets hope there are many more going forward..

Aside from having a very positive impact on our club, the Al Qadi's have also prevented what could have been one of the worst periods in our existence! 'Sainsburys gate'could have easily put our club into administration. DC almost certainly wouldn't have stayed and the snake would have gone in the summer. If we would have still achieved promotion, I feel we'd be in a huge mess right now with a far weaker squad than what we came up with.
Instead, we have a new training ground on the way, 10th in L1 and attendances consistently higher than in recent years. DC could be at the club for a good few years to come (hopefully) and we are looking well on the way to being a team pushing towards the championship within a couple years.
We cannot thank them enough for their timely input!! UTG

When you look at his record alone it is clearly excellent. But beyond that is the manner in which he has achieved it with a small budget and developing a tight squad of players with a never say die attitude. Hard to believe that has gone unnoticed and would be surprised if he isn't subject to some serious interest from other clubs in the next 12 months.

Wael has been fantastic for Rovers.Absolutely top class. The best.
He is what i said was out there, a rich bloke who will do great service to Rovers.
Rovers will now reach our potential.Just exactly what that is,well we are going to find out.
What a journey we're on.
I love it and you do too.
Thank you Wael.

I certainly know what you mean, but it's going to have to be a hell of an opportunity for DC to leave. Since the summer i'd say we've progress pretty much as we could have realistically hoped. DC turned down Leeds back then and I feel it would take a Prem team (no team would gamble on a L1 manager) or a Forest / Derby type club to possibly tempt him. I think he sees he's got an opportunity with our fan base, the financial backing and a clean slate of a training ground to build exactly what he thinks he needs. This along with 100% support from the board and fans is very rare in football and I think he knows this. It's also to our advantage that he is a very young manager, with potentially a long career ahead of him if he wants it. Lastly, when I hear particularly Yatesy or Marcus do an interview, it's almost like they are reading from the same script (without the odd quirky comment here or there). I would imagine that one of them would take charge should DC ever leave which would be great for the stability of the club.

DC was not a 'serial mover' when a player, and he stayed with Salisbury longer than many expected. I think if he feels he's getting the backing from the Board then he would want to take Rovers into the Championship. If he'd gone to Leeds, he might well have been sacked by now, and whilst he's have got a pay off, it doesn't last long when you lose your monthly income. He's only 40, and got married last year, so security is more important to him than it would be to journeyman Managers in their '50s.
I'm almost certain Darrell will still be here at the end of the season. If the training ground moves from a field to a facility, and if he's given the backing to strengthen the squad for an automatic promotion push in 2017/18 then I'll think he'll stay even longer. But if that doesn't happen he could be tempted by a better offer by Christmas. I hope Wael and the Board support DC in the summer transfer merry-go-round.

Both Darrell and the Club need to progress with the same momentum. Where both organisations and senior employees progress at different speeds then there will be a time when the aims of either conflict. Look at Southampton with Nigel Adkins, the club needed more at the time or with Pocchettino at Southampton where the managers aim couldn't be realised by the slower trajectory of the club. Wael knows that if DC continues to perform above expectations then the club needs to match progress with off field developments (training ground, stadium, budget, experience and salaries). The supporter numbers shall also need to grow too. I'd like to see wael take DC and his staff to Jordan to experience a different kind of football structure and even for the club (Bristol based supporters included) to acknowledge that we are happy to encourage work experience of Jordanian players in recognition of where the investment has come from.

Jordan may be a source of new talent for Rovers, but we would need to get international clearance to sign player from there. Perhaps we could play a pre-season friendly in Amman too? (It would be a short hop for Rovers fans holidaying in Cyprus or Turkey.....or working in Saudi or the Gulf).
