Since the Tolls end its been madness ….Keep the welsh out of Bristol not Locks mind you ! Only jesting They're complaining about the number of Bristolians buying up their houses in Wales already I know it's not 'like with like'... but average price last year for a sold detached house in Caldicott - £287k. average price last year for a sold detached house in Chepstow - £346k. average price last year for a sold detached house in Thornbury - £455k Not too dissimilar commutes into Bristol, and now the tolls have gone... Is it worth saving a £100k+ but having the shame of living in Wales? No offence Bridgeman. :-) UTG.

Shame of living in Wales?? I’ve lived over here since 1971, had the privilege of meeting any number of Gas players including Dave Williams and Neil Slatter at my kids secondary schools, saved a fortune on house prices and council tax, but more importantly irritated the anti English Taffia. Cardiff is becoming a Bristol suburb lol.

I know exactly what you mean steptoe, I've been living in Wales since 1967 and as they say 'you can take the boy out of Bristol, but you'll never take Bristol out of the boy. Been a Gashead in all that time and to be honest I've had more respect shown to me from the Welsh because of that than anything else. Sure they've ripped the piss out of me for being English but there's no better feeling in the world than when you're sat in an office full of Welsh rugby fans when the English have just beaten them in Cardiff.....I don't have to say a word

Did you ever meet Stan Montgomery?, a cracking bloke and supplied some brilliant players. On another issue you must be as irritated as me seeing stadiums going up all over the place over here and the success they have brought Cardiff and Swansea compared to the struggles we've had. Another funny one when Cardiff had their colours changed to red a few of my mates here boycotted them and came over to the Mem one in particular became a raving gas head regularly belting out goodnight Irene at the local pub.

Contrary to people 'not in the know', all is well in the Bridgeman household and now being a semi retired person have more time to waste on my favourite past time, kicking 'in the knowers' up the proverbials. All I've got to do now is work out which of you are in ITK and aim appropriately. UTG ! I heard you were off to Charlton on a 5 year deal

Must be electric over there when England play them. Never a given. Good to see you back old friend.
