Actually I think that's pretty good. Cold, wintry day, was a threat it might be called off. I've just got back after 2 hours travelling on a cold night in tricky driving conditions. So respect to all those from Bradford, they'll still be on the road. UTG!

I thought the Bradford support was superb today, one of the best we've had at the Mem in a very long time. Some top people in the Golden Lion pre match, and chatted to some decent people on the bus back into town.
Is it just me who finds the OPs constant obsession with attendance numbers a little bit tiresome?

It's not just you Father Jack - the OP seems to have a somewhat deluded mindset. For the record, I thought their support was excellent both in numbers and volume given the weather and time of year, and contributed to a real atmosphere in the ground.

Fantastic support from the Bantams today. Absolutely brilliant fans who never shut up. Away support how it should be. Mint.

Isn't one of the reasons Bradford get such a big home attendance because they do some sort of offer on season tickets?
7-800 is a reasonable away crowd. How many did we take up there?

Good solid away support and a great club with good supporters who generally seem to behave as supporters should. A credit to their team.

Sounded like they were having a good jolly sing-song to me - fair play to them.
139 more of them than we took up there (when it wasn't such a wintery day), earlier this season, which was also on a Saturday.

Thanks, gm.. Makes us look smaller by comparison. Yes, but that's no disgrace, as it turns out. With an average away attendance of 1,437, Bradford City's travelling support in 2015-16 was the tenth highest in the Football League (including the Championship). Interestingly, it was not the highest in League 1 last season: Sheffield United topped the figures taking an average 1,622 visitors to away grounds. After Rovers' draw at Bradford in September, a Bantams fan on the train told me that they were expecting to take 4,000 to Bolton in their next game. Even allowing for the added interest of their ex-manager Parkinson going to Bolton, I thought he was exaggerating. I've just looked at the Bolton News online match report: there were 4,388 Bantams fans at the game!

Bradford fans are always good. I have a massive soft spot for the Bantams because my first Rovers game was against them (we won 4-3). But I also really enjoy going to Valley Parade.

Thinking back to the 70s ( which I do a lot ) travel was more difficult although train fares were cheaper. Most Northern clubs brought few away fans to Eastville, the 2 that did bring lots were Sheffield Utd and Sunderland, maybe some clubs have always had good away followings ? To be fair travelling from Bradford to Bristol in dodgy weather I think that over 700 is pretty good for 3rd tier football. Some of those Northern clubs have good hard core support when you consider how many clubs are very close to each other.

Don't agree with any of you this is a former premiership team not Bradford park avenue by the way s**t away support took more than us to theirs having said that at the end of the day it's all about affordability not commitment to your team.
