My only visit to date was when we get pumped 6-1 on a day we badly badly needed a positive result. They were bottom, we were two places above them. What could go wrong? The side we put out that day can best be described as, thee most worthless, spineless, gutless, bottle job bunch of absolute s*** c**ts in our entire history. Not a single one of them gave a damn for the club, shirt or fans. Made it worse I drove straight from the game into a 12hr night shift. Bad times. This was barely 6 years ago. & some have the neck to wade in heavy on DC & current bunch of heroes after the odd poor showing. Makes you laff mind. Byron Anthony and Stuart Campbell played that day. Jeff Hughes doesn't deserve that description either. For the performance I witnessed & many others that season. Yes they do.

Away form has been a bit more than the odd bad show? In comparison to the season in question it has been pretty much ok! I went to 16 away games that year, won 1, drew 1, lost the rest There were indeed some horror shows that season and ultimately the end result was misery and relegation. I was living in London and mainly only got to away games then but I do remember some great performances where we were unlucky not to win. Under Trollope we drew 1-1 away at Charlton and 2-2 away at Brighton. Admittedly under Penny it was dire though even in his short reign I remember a brave narrow 1-0 loss at Brentford. Under Campbell we clearly had fight and it was heart break at Bourenmouth where we lost 2-1 having led until the 89th minute. Also unlucky to loose 1-0 at Southamptom where an unknown teenager named Harrison made his debut off the bench.

The Brentford defeat was mighty unfortunate as the pen they had awarded was a clear dive right in front of us. Charlton away we just about escaped with a draw, just too many times that year you just knew when we went 1-0 down, we weren't going to be coming back. All change now though! Here's to 3 welcome away points tomorrow

If we could win just the odd away game we would be top 4!

I remember taking my future wife to Fellows Park in 1988, it was a cold afternoon and there was snow around the ground and the pitch must have been frozen. We stood in the away end against a brick wall it was cold, it was her first game and we drawed 0-0. She said to me what do you see in this but she has had to listen to me and our lads for thirty years. Come on the GAS, we can do this UTG.

I can't remember ever being there and seeing us win, included in that is the free coach trip to watch us get humped 5-0.
Just seems to be 'one of those places' where it's a home banker when they play the gas.
