Midfielder man Jake Gosling is set to move to Conference side Forest Green Rovers. Its believed that Gosling will move to Forest Green on loan for the rest of the season. The 23 year old has not featured for Rovers this season and has spent time out on loan at League Two side Cambridge United. He made 7 appearances for Cambridge with out scoring. Last season he had a loan spell with Newport County before returning to Rovers and play his part in Rovers promotion from League Two. Gosling is a Gibraltar International and became the first man to net more than once for Gibraltar in an 8-1 defeat by Poland in September 2015. He has 11 International caps in total. Gosling joined Rovers in 2014 from Exeter City and has made nearly 50 appearances for the club scoring three times. Read more: www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=476367#ixzz4VqTaJdz6

May I be the first to write - "found his level"? You may, but in fairness to the player he's played his part in our success too. Good luck till the end of the season Jake.

Absolutely agree with above.
He was awesome against FGR last season in gfa cup.
Also....was great sub v York City away. And was involved in build up for Browners goal.
Fond regards of the fella. Got alot to offer. Maybe we've superceded his abilities once we signed him, but a devastatingly effective player on his day. Good luck, Jake..

Came on late at Mansfield and went on a mazy run as good as anything Iv'e seen.Just doesn't do it often enough .At Telford for instance he virtually disappeared and didn't get involved at all. Very skilfull.Too peripheral though for me.Hope he does well up the road.

Did not necessarily believe it though, but someone was bound to write it. I enjoyed the Southport goal because it was at the other end to us and you could see the curve on the ball, the weather was fine, there was a warm welcome in their bar and his winning goal made the long weekend stay much better. He is to be commended for giving up his inernational career to concentrate on his league work.

Involved in the build up for Brown's goal vs Dagenham. One of our double promotion heroes. Good luck Gos.

Why do people need to have some of these digs at Gos? I'm very grateful for his time here, played his part in that last match against D/R and in Conference season. OK he's unlikely to play for us again but people seem to take enjoyment in having a go. I find it amazing and slightly disrespectful. If you can't say something good when he's going perhaps people should just say nothing imo. But I understand it's a forum so hey ho. Thank you Jake and good luck for the future if you go now or later. UTG!

The contribution of Gos has been memorable and better than Montano ....get over it

He's still young enough to improve
That Matty Taylor chappy was very much the seasoned bloke when he turned up as a very useful all-rounder who couldn't put the ball in the net
And as for that Rickie Lambert chap, he got quite a wiggle on too
Good luck Gos

It has been suggested on FGR forum that we are getting Frear? Would rather not have a player who is refusing to play for his club, does not sound like a DC signing.

I was most impressed with him in the away game on Boxing Day at Torquay. I don't think he has had an extended run for 18 months and therefore no wonder he has been inconsistent and not improved. I suspect he will do well at FGR.

I think his 'level' is probably League 2 and good luck to him. Abiding memory was the first against of our 7 against Alfreton (OK it was only Alfreton) - but what a strike...

A decent passing side would suit Jake,i don't know if FGR are that.He has good control, plays lovely one twos and can shoot. I would'nt be surprised if he was still at Rovers for next season.

Thanks for all your efforts Gos, involved in two of the biggest goals in the clubs history and more importantly a really good bloke.
