As I see it Chelsea have 3 options to play against us, they could play their premier league starting 11, it would be fantastic if we could get a result against them but also quite unlikely. They could play a team of squad and youth team players, it would still be great to progress against them but wouldn't quite have that air of achievement. Most likely it will be a mix of the two, particularly as they aren't involved in any European competitions so they don't need to rest players and it is 1 of only 3 competitions they can try and win. Personally I'd love to see us better a team that features 4 or 5 top international players, ideally with Costa getting sent off for 2 ludicrous dives in the first 20 minutes. I am really looking forward to Tuesday I have seen Rovers play more times at Wembley than I have seen em at top division grounds, and it was only 2 seasons ago that our midweek fixtures involved Alfreton, bring it on.

Team of kids. One of them gives us a stupid pen in the first 20 minutes. We defend like heroes for 70 mins. Next round.

Conte will play a strong team, he's barely in the season and he needs to work out his best eleven still. This is likely to be the best eleven Rovers have ever faced in their history!

Full strength Chelsea side, we score early no matter how many we go on to concede.
I just want that feeling of 4K Gas going into raptures, in a packed Stamford Bridge.
Harrison will notch.

It will be less than two years ago that we were playing Bath City for a vase. It's great being a supporter whose been part of a long journey, will still a long way to go.

I'd love to see Costa up against Lockyer and McCrystal.
Also would love to see Hazzard and William, beyond that I am not worried who they play.
Are they getting a bit worried about us as they appear to want another 3 players, all in the £30+m bracket.

It would make my year if Stuart Sinclair broke Diego Costa's leg. A win would be an excellent achievement, we should go for it 100% with a full strength team. NOT 5 at the back, inviting pressure against a top 6 Prem team is a disaster waiting to happen. 4-4-2, give them both barrels and catch them out with a corner or a swift counter.

I hope we give it a go too, having seen a couple of broken legs during games of football, I don't ever want to see another one.

Remember it's only The League Cup. Let's not get too excited.
We'll go to Chelsea, for a match they don't consider a priority. Atmosphere will be poor, they won't play a full strength team.....and we'll still get a hiding.
Is that really worth getting excited about?

In 50 years time the records will show we played Chelsea and unless you look up the record, it will not show what players were involved.
I reckon very few under 50 have a clue what Man Utd team lost to BRFC 2-1 at Old Trafford on 11/10/1972 in front of 29,349. The record shows we beat them.
I am excited as this takes me back to 1971 when we played at home to QPR in front of 24.373 and Stoke City in front of 33,624, both league Cup games. The atmosphere was electric, both were evening games and our support was fantastic.
Get excited, you bet we will no matter what the result.
