After waiting at Kingswood for best part of 3 hours to be told no tickets left, then driving to mem and waiting for a further 90 minutes finally got tickets . What a shambolic way to deal with your customers. On line tickets etc great but until such time and if we draw another big club away, suggest open about 8 turnstiles cash only, card payment in the shop and sell from one site only Communication, updates would also be great. Felt sorry for man at supporters club who had to break news but he could have communicated to all those waiting at various stages of morning not waiting to end when tickets had gone. Rant over bring on Chelsea.

Dear Faggot I beg to differ fixture is READING....Think you are reading between the Chris Lines....gladly pay 500 pence to see a Championship side against us at the Mem...see you there ...you can buy me a pasty you tight get queues will be short
Care to explain why Reading don't have it listed as a fixture?
You're culpable
chewit out
maybe they have conceded a walkover ?...morelikely worried about a heavy defeat at the Mem plus recovering from their hiding at Newcastle last night ?

...or it's not a first team fixture and by attending you're saying "Hey B teams are cool, please dilute the quality of a truly beautiful Football League".

Was more thinking about those who looked frail. There was a lovely old lady queuing I front of me who was getting her sons ticket. It would be good if we could show a little reverence for people like her. Just my opinion. You know, that looks very much like her just the lady was much smaller in stature

Apparently the Press Association control the fixtures on the various club websites and each Club cannot add them! hence why Rovers and Reading have not put on in their fixtures list. The PA have been told to pull their fingers out bit like trying to tell Chewbacca he is not up to date with things ...in one ear out the other.
Mind you conspiracy theorists on here and there are several in the "grassy knole brigade" and "Gloucester Road drinking Club" may feel its a ploy so no one turns up for these cup ties like Reading

We aren't playing Reading, we are playing Reading Academy. £5 is not a bargain for watching an under 21 team. With the benefit of hindsight, if each person in the queue was given a numbered ticket/number written on hand to correspond with entitlement, then person with 750 would be the end, & any arrivals after that could go direct to the mem !!! Just a thought..... I got mine about 1.30pm at The Mem having queued for about an hour and 45 mins. When I was near the front Ken Masters came out with a calculator asking people how many they were intending on buying so he could work out where the cut off point in the queue would be. Presumably the fact they lasted til 5pm-ish meant no-one that was at The Mem at that time was disapointed; but it's still laughable that this is happening at a professional football club in 2017 and the sort of s*** that will probably add another 10 pages to the 300 strong page thread on One Tw*t in Bristol. I'm not blaming the new guard, they can't change everything in a day; it was just complete and utter bulls***/naivety from the old lot thinking a new stadium would solve everything. Saying that I hope the new lot are proactively looking at modernising aspects of the club like this, its not like we need bespoke software I'm sure there's a company that's providing database software for plenty of other clubs and if used correctly it would probably pay for itself by cleverly using the information we'll have on fairweather fans to devise marketing strategies that will make them come more often. I was there when calculator-man came down the queue, asking how many each were intending to purchase; didn't think it was Ken Masters though. It seemed like a good idea, but it was rather nerve-wracking wondering if you'd made the cut!

When I was working for a bank (just a little while back now!) my philosophy when serving customers that had to queue (for, say, more than 5 minutes) was to thank them for waiting, and be friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hope being that the over-riding impression was of having received a good level of service, and that they would have forgotten they had to queue a while in the first place.
Having to wait 1.5 hours, using up your lunch-break and taking up working time, is slightly different. However, the staff were excellent and it does make a difference.
To also have your hand shaken and wished good luck in obtaining tickets by the President of the club, who normally resides in Jordan, and went down the whole queue that snaked out the back of the shop, through the downstairs bar, round the back of the stand, and all the way up to the Thatchers End turnstiles, was extra special and a superb touch, by a wonderful owner.
We truly are fortunate.

Expect a strong Reading first team and be sadly mistaken.
It'll be a pre season friendly like kick around against a team of young un's, in front of a record low attendance & rightly so n all.
Load of old ballacks.

Supporters support that's more important

Does anyone know if we're getting more tockets? I had hoped this to be done but it seems beam back has been chosen instead. The club would have to pay for all extra tickets upfront and I believe this was a sticking point

The club would have to pay for all extra tickets upfront and I believe this was a sticking point My understanding is that as Rovers took up the 10% of ground capacity which is greater than the away allocation for premier league matches, some Chelsea season ticket holders were displaced from their usual seat in the shed. However instead of re-locating them to another stand, Chelsea held back a section of 1,000 seats in the Shed Upper, so that the displaced season ticket holders could purchase one of these tickets if they wanted to. These tickets then went on general sale to 'home' supporters once the deadline for season ticket holders had expired. Tickets on Chelsea website were available last week - long before the away tickets were made available for our priority group 1. Therefore there was no possibility of a further allocation being made available as all other areas were on general sale to Chelsea supporters. Bit long winded, but basically Chelsea under-estimated our away following. Bad planning on their part.

So are you Saying that you will not be given a ticket and will pay 500 pence to gain admission? I will not be going as I do not want to be an accessory to the downfall of the EFL.
