how many times XXXXXX put their hands up, admitted a failing and apologised unreservedly? the same point as made above, I think, but that's the nub of it IMO

Mid September? That really is poor. Apology not really good enough. Six weeks into the new season before the kit arrives is not acceptable. Honestly, chill out. It's clearly not ideal but in the grand scheme of things it's hardly a big deal.

I am perfectly chilled thank you. 😄 I am just saying that this whole issue could have been easily avoided if they did not change the kit provider at such a late stage. Make changes yes but perhaps waiting a year would have avoided this. Let's just move on.

The club has taken responsibility and issued an apology - what more do you want, blood? If only the previous board has been willing to front up and accept responsibility for some of their numerous howlers instead of issuing banning orders and blaming anything and everyone else while playing some sort of put upon victim with the world conspiring against them at every turn, eh? Maybe things would have turned out different.

Are fully grown blokes still crying that their replica kits haven't arrived??
How unbelievably tragic.
Allow the dude to hand you some perspective. Two years ago today we lost away to Altrincham 2 - 1 in the vanarama conference. A Rovers side that looked like they had met that very morning, getting comfortably beaten by a bunch of blokes who had just done 5 stints of 9-5 that very week. Gasheads fighting amongst themselves on the terraces, some managing to board the club coach and tear into our players, all over a defeat that left us one place outside the relegation zone in the FIFTH DIVISION. Club was on its knees, away fans stood on an open terrace in crap weather, in the worst ground you could never wish to see and it took 6 hours to get there due to f**king roadworks.
But you have to wait a few more weeks for your new league 1 home shirt? How very cute.

I thought the weather wasn't too bad that day.

Must have been tears from the back row flooding me out then.

I was only making the point that the new board are supposed to be very professional but have made a rather basic mistake. I am not crying about it but others have made a thing about this against me. I have broad shoulders and take the jibes. 😄

I guess it is all about supply and demand the economic theory....everyone wants new shirts in August. Probably best to blame Brexit, Nick Higgs, the fall in the pound, the governor of the bank of England and even Nigel Farage.

Looked at a different way. In times past the club would probably have been desperate for the cash from shirt sales. This season we are, so far, hitting Toni W's magic break-even figure of 9,500. I know which I'm happier with.
The squad all had their kits ready for day one - that's all that's important imo.

The fear among some Bristol Rugby fans, with the move to Ashton, was that the traditional home navy blue shirts would turn red over time. Interesting to see the away kit has gone back away from red to now being gold, and that the rugby and football teams will have the same away shirts. Also interesting to see the amount of blue in City's away kit: shirt sleeves, sides and shorts. I know not all agree with me, but I've always been happy with red numbers on our shirts - they certainly stand out better than black, and that was how I first remember Rovers shirts in the 70s. www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/bristols-top-teams-go-for-gold-together/
