I suspect we would all have a release if we scored a penalty at Wembley in the last minute!

League Two Released PlayersCarlisle – Derek Asamoah, Troy Archibald-Henville, Angelo Balanta, Arron Bradbury, Dan Hanford, Bastien Hery, Louis Pedro, Steven Rigg, Antony Sweeney(Gateshead), Joe Thompson Crawley – Andy Bond, Lee Barnard, Roarie Deacon, Lyle Della-Verde, Callum Preston Mansfield – Anthony Dwyer, Liam Marsden, Craig Westcarr, Chris Beardsley Poor old Andy Bond doesn't even warrant bold type!! Della-Verde is a strange one - to my untrained eye he looked like a world beater in the conference who should have been able to hold his own at least a couple of divisions higher. DC never really fancied him and now Crawley have released him, his career has hit the buffers. Looked to have bags of ability - can only think there must be issues to do with his work rate or attitude.

Ed Upson released by Millwall. Very good at Yeovil. Think he played in a couple of promotions or at least one. Might be a good consideration.

I seem to recall that there was an issue with him wearing his club tie, and even the senior professionals couldn't persuade him.

Saw him a few times at Yeovil always seemed a very good player with something about him. Obviously hasn't gone too well at Millwall, relegation then being released now but can't be that old.

Fattifenwa has always been completely immobile, so age shouldn't make much difference to him
Good player, good feet and touch, and good to watch IMO

Whatever happened to the four or five players that we were interested in signing? I thought that the letters had gone out, and that we were expecting a reply in the near future.

To be fair until we get some more of last season's squad signed up we don't know what the priorities would be. I imagine the players had a deadline to accept/reject their offers so hopefully we'll see some more announcements in the next few days. Regardless I'd say priorities are in no particular order: - GK that will eventually be the long term No1 - CB with Macca ageing, JC generally preferred as a right back and DC not fancying Parkes much - Quality winger as Gosling/Monty too inconsistent - Striker (possibly 2) as can't see Taylor staying and wouldn't be surprised if Harrison leaves of his own accord I don't see anyone else making heaps of signings so I don't think we need to worry yet about missing out on potential targets.

Assuming we're offering to at least match the players present contracts I'd be surprised to see Harrison turn down a decent Div 1 contract, as I doubt the likes of Newport or Hartlepool are going to offer him anywhere near what he could get at Rovers, plus he has the chance of making a name for himself as a Div 1 player. Having said that I'm surprised the likes of Lines haven't accepted their contract offers by now.

Harry Beautyman Peterborough winger good player we should consider Good player, no doubt. Had an attitude problem in the past by actively going on 'strike' when with Hartlepool. I think (not sure) Bradford cancelled his loan period too and paid to return him - or something like that!

If Hylton has got £1-1.5K more at Luton you can't blame him because I would be surprised if he would be first choice in League 1. Oxford will get better.

Could be a load of old bollox tho.
