I wasn't at all impressed with the commentary during the game, it was very amateur, uninteresting and sometimes nothing whatsoever to do with the game. The trouble is if you turn that off you don't hear the crowd reaction or singing. Afraid I agree with you. I think being a fan is sometimes a disadvantage when it comes to commentating. Reminded me of Roger Malone (older fans will understand the reference), at times.

I missed the game due to a prior, long standing commitment so looked forward to watching the DVD which I did last night. The commentary wasn't great but it was great to hear the crowd. Maybe I'm being petty but I really wished the commentator would get our right back's name right - his name's LeadbItter not leadBETTER

Got my copy yesterday, watched it before the FA cup final. Gave me goosebumps again as I remembered things I forgot from the day. Felt like Mansfield again until Browner tapped in that goal. I feel cleansed again. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to the new season. UTG. It was like a funeral. We've moved on now. I've been to a few funerals. They're not much like our game v Dagenham, in my experience. Particularly the euphoric bit at the end.

Just sat down and watched the lot. Wasn't there on the day(long story) however I completely felt the tension building up through the second half and huge relief when Browner scored. Incredible! Really captured the atmosphere and the interviews before and after were excellent. Can't believe some are criticising what ScreenSoccer have produced here. How many lower league clubs have this service? They have produced a full length DVD and managed to get it on sale in just over a week. Have you any idea the amount of work goes into this? Probably not. Just take a few cheap shots eh lads? F*#ks sake.

Yeh, Tyler. Get him.

Maybe we don't have pitchside mics, I dunno. But it would give a 'matchday' experience for anybody who wanted to watch the DVD without commentary? Just a thought. Edit. For a real matchday experience you can get a drunk bloke round to shout obscenities over your shoulder whilst you watch, mostly at our own players, then scuttle off quietly when we win.

The DVD format does support multiple audio tracks, that is how they distribute a DVD with multiple languages. You could have a commentary + stadium track, and a separate stadium track. I'm not sure I would ever listen without commentary personally... I'm getting my copy today. Can't wait

We sat and watched the DVD yesterday afternoon - it is a great piece of film to keep as a souvenir of what turned out to be a truly extraordinary day.
The commentary is a tad yokel local - but it captures the excitement and tension of the day beautifully.
Have to admit that I kicked every ball and yelled with every shot missed ... and as we all know, there were a few.
We played good football that day, but the film actually shows just how good a team performance it was - Lines stood out amongst many.
The reaction at the end of extra time by the fans and Wael is remarkable and will bring a tear to the eye of even the most hardened Gas head - Enjoy!!!

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest anyone that has an issue with the commentary is not a veteran of previous Screen Soccer releases.
Personally I virtually grew up with them so would imagine this one is as good as they usually are in terms of production quality, and even better in terms of actual content.
