The BBC don't seem very interested in us. They had reporters at Accrington, Oxford and Plymouth but not us and seem to think that only Oxford and Accrington are fighting for automatic promotion! I don't mind that.

Gaffney literally ran everywhere today. At one point he was making inroads down the east terrace second half towards blackthorn end....then a few mins later was on left wing trying to win ball back. Brilliant!
Ollie Clarke sub shored up our lacking midfield. I just think we had run out of options and were being overrun in first 10mins of second half. Good move by dc to see our mid needed support as Montana was being pulled out of position. Ollies though ball (brilliantly won by Lines) set up Taylor's goal.
What is it with Mattrttttty Taylor? The man is awesome. Can't stop scoring. Put through today, (i remember a banjo and bovine arse pic with Cunnington, last season) there was only one outcome once he switched. Fantastic finishing. Matty scores with feet and head alike......and if he doesn't, someone else will!
Bodin effective.. Brown goal sublime.. Danny's running amazing.
Reasons to be cheerful, that was 3.
Two to go, you just never know..

thought Exeter looked pretty good to the eye, playing some good unhurried football, pushing it around very well at times, thoroughly enjoyable game, had a lot of what makes a good game, ref good to bad and somewhat unpredictable at times, bit of controversy on the field, few cards, and excellent strikes from all four scorers, but a well deserved Rovers win at the end of the day,, keep on trucking Rovers

How Exeter finished with 11 men on the field is beyond me. Dirty, cynical, nasty cheats. Combined with an inept linesman (Dribuild side) and a referee who must have been from Devon, I thought we destroyed them. We're going up. No doubt here.

What happened for the free kick that we scored from as the highlights missed that bit?! I'm told from someone nearer the halfway line that Matty was shoved in the face, if so should have been a straight red. The ref saw it and blew straightaway but only gave a yellow card, I think the linesman on the West Enclosure side was looking into outer space at the time, he didn't even flag. What on earth the other linesman on the Dribuild side was doing, I can only guess, he didn't even seem to be at the game, the errors he made were horrendous. Twice the ball went out of play for a throw in, another time it went out for a throw in but he gave a corner and the disgraceful foul on Lockyer in the first half he didn't even flag for.

Yes a few incidents but according to the stats Exeter are the cleanest team in division no sendings off and fewest bookings. Strange eh? Let's hope you're right!, UTG!

Strange isn't it but this season there must have been a lot of linesmen looking the other way because Exeter are, according to the stats, the cleanest team in this league by some way. I don't think they've had a sending off and fewest bookings. I'd include the link to the stats that I saw but that techno stuff is beyond me, sorry! Nearly as bad as the linesman on the Dribuild side last week against Yeovil, he was pretty poor. UTG!

Taylor had his back to me so difficult to tell.
From the way he went down, and the movement and speed of Troy Brown's arm, my first thought was he'd punched him.
Most likely a push to the face though.

The other incident was Lockyer v Stockley.
Play had moved on, but I clearly saw Stockley push Tom in the face twice. Tom just seemed to protect himself and not retaliate. Then Stockley completely lost the plot, when held back by others, seemingly wanting to get at Tom.
So why did they both get booked???
I don't think the referee saw anything until it turned into a maul / melee. I didn't see the referee consult with any of his assistants (not that they'd have been any use).
I think the referee made a pure guess, just going on who the two main players involved were.

Have to say our mental discipline within the squad is strong. Ellis apart, I can't remember anyone reacting under strong provocation this season. Having said that, mccrystal floored one of theirs late on!
And yesterday, as you always get with Tisdale teams an element of physicality, I thought we coped admirably.

Two to go, you just never know.. The most enjoyable day for me in ages. A load from Kingswood who have not been around in years and I felt like a kid, going to Eastville, all over again. No nerves for me, our midfield went MIA and this allowed Exeter to have too much time & space. Linesy just not the player he was, had a couple of chances to run at Exeter but blew them but I never felt we were ever going to do anything but win. Great to see familiar faces and a win, that keeps them coming. Superb day for me.
