"Carlisle all over again". Listened on the radio and was thinking exactly the same. Agree on most points but not sure about starting Montano on Saturday after watching him at home to Yeovil. I think we need WWW and even then there's a chance given the fixtures that Accy and Plymouth or Oxford will achieve the same

Stevenage didn't look capable of beating us whatever formation but I think we would have stood a much better chance of beating them with more creativity in the side and a straight 4-4-2. the 4-4-2 has got us the most positive results and to change it against such a weak team was not a good ideal. I think that Easter has a great first touch and that he can play some lovely passes, out of the middle of the pitch, to get us on the attack. From what I have seen, I would love to see Easter played behind our strikers and just ahead of the line of midfield. Of course, I am no manager or footballing brain but we seem to be more threatening when he has played that role. What he now lacks in pace, he makes up for in his skill set. What do you think mate ?

Honestly, and don't laugh at the back...
Tuesday would have been perfect for Bliss.

It was the most attacking 3-5-2 that DC has played all season with Gosling in the number 10 role rather than going with 3 central midfielders. I would have preferred Bodin or Easter to be in that number 10 role last night, but it would have been crazy to go there with a 4-4-2 and get beat. We could have easily got beate playing 3 5 2, last nights formation just didnt work, looked so disjointed at times. We are better attacking side and already have playoffs sewn up could have gone there and had a go at least.
This sums up my feelings on Tues.
We are already assured a play off place, exact play off positions don't really matter apart from getting home advantage in the 2nd leg, so we should be going for the win especially when it soon becomes clear the opposition are out to do a containing job.
Strangely enough we may have got a better result on Tuesday had we gone 1 down early doors, it seems to give us the kick up the ass needed.
I'd go for it Sat too, Exeter are shocking in defence and being at home we are more than capable of getting off to a good start with the right formations and personnel. Draws aren't good enough now.

I thought the same after 20 minutes - would be a blessing to go behind, ring the changes, and get motivated! I think we suffered from a fear of failing, rather than having the desire to win. I also agree that it should be an attacking line up on Saturday, go out to get an early goal to settle the nerves (not the players nerves - Ours!)

I read somewhere we have come from behind to win on 5 occasions this seasons but this just asks more questions than it answers for me.
It's hard to knock the team when they are exceeding most of our expectations (which has been significantly lowered thanks for Mr Buckle) but is this down to the manager not knowing his best team, formation, the players themselves, style of play? Most of the time he seems to be able to changes things for the better but does seem to have to change things a lot.
It's nice change to be able to debate any weaknesses when we are still racking up points but of course there is always room for improvement.

This will be DC's first full season as a FL manager and regardless of what he says to the media, he must also be suffering from nervousness. I try not to criticise him nowadays as he is still very new to this and the pressure that comes with it. To think that only 3 seasons ago he was at Salisbury. I really hope he puts out our most attacking formation possible. I just wonder if he still sometimes sets out to stop the opposition from scoring rather than to go all out an attack. We have 3 games of the normal season left and we are guaranteed a play off spot. Personally I would rather we went out to win and with an attacking formation. I still feel we have not yet hit our best and someone is going to be in for a drubbing. I would like to see us play like we did, in the last game V Alfreton, last season. We need our midfield to push up if that is to happen.

but 5.3.2 against one of the bottom 4 sides when we needed to maintain the impetus amazes me,and don't anyone come back with the old nugget of wingbacks, first and foremost they are defenders given a licence to attack when the situation allows. They are not out and out wingers and never will be.We went negative and paid the price.Just a pity we never played that formation 2 years ago against mansfield
