Loving the beam back option, got my ticket.
I haven't been to Sixfields since 'THAT' play-off 2nd leg, was absolutely gutted that night, strangely more gutted than any relegations and vowed never to go back to the scene of the crime.
Make a lot of noise gasheads, nothing to be scared of in L2 not even a team running away with the league.

Hoping for more of the same

I was chatting with the Mrs about this and I told her that we get people, who haven't been for a long time, turn up and sometimes it means that regulars don't manage to see the game but the truth is that I & others could fork out for a ST. My reason for not having one is well known but others just can't, for a plethora of reasons, fork out the lump sum. We can sometimes forget that there are many who can't have a credit card and who are in real financial, difficulty. Personally, I welcome the so called part timers and hope they see enough to come again. I don't understand the anger by some. We are all gas and that's all that matters to me. I don't think k it does any good to get upset and I have left it very late at times, to buy my early bird tickets. Those who work, full time, don't have that comfort I'm sure some would much rather have an attendance of just themselves and a few mates. I was sat next to some dohnut on a minibus last season going to Eastleigh. He was somehow complaining that we were taking 1400 there on a Tuesday night in the conference! "We only took 300 to Lincoln 4 days ago, where were all these people then?!" Total cretin. I guess that could have been KingswoodGas

Ha, I was only having a bit of banter with Chewy guys think you've taken this a bit seriously. Obviously if we're going to be modern and progressive club we need some kind of membership system, if for no other reason than it will help us tailor marketing information to people. I've regularly given my email address/phone number etc to fit promotion girls in night clubs when pissed and several months later I'll get an email from the club offering me free entry for me and some mates because it's my birthday. Forest Green in the playoffs last season aside, I don't think there have been that many massive miscarriages of justice when it comes to people 'deserving' of them missing out. But I think a membership system would allow us to dig deeper into how loyal people have actually been. For example at present someone who's had a season ticket for this season only has a massive advantage over someone who may have had one for 10+ plus years, but has had to dip out this season because his wife has had twins or he's been seconded abroad for 6 months with work. Is this fair? Some would say yes, but I think most would say no. My dad who has had a season ticket for probably close to 30 years on the spin, but barring Millenium and Wembley hasn't been to an away game in probably 15 years. Admittedly I regularly use his voucher to get a non-ST holder an away ticket (the morals of this probably opens another can of worms) so that would skew the numbers here; but is it theoretically fair that at Forest Green last season probably less than 1 in 4 season ticket holders had a chance of a ticket(750 tickets, 3250ish ST holders), yet someone who had been to all 23 league aways would have the same chance of getting one as someone who'd been to none? Perhaps they didn't realise that they were in the presence of the ARCHBISHOP OF BANTERBURY himself

Against Cambridge I was accused by some twat of being a part timer and standing in his space in the blackthorn end after giving him little glare he backed off when he realised where it was going and I let him off as I doubt hid dentist was open over Easter Are you a part timer though? How do you class a part timer I went to my first game in 1967 have sacrificed many things over the years following the gas had season tickets at eastville twerton and the mem haven't been a regular for the last few seasons due to health issues and being pissed off with what was happening perhaps a clue might be for many years I was universally known as ash the gas and had this had happened20 or 30 years ago it would have been a bit different so who is the part timer someone who has a season ticket for the last few years or someone who been faithful and true for nearly fifty years

I was only joking but sure whoever made the comment didn't know or said it in jest.

It's all nonsense really. Everyone's circumstances are different. I consider myself a loyal Gashead but didn't attend a live game for over forty years but am now a season ticket holder, have been for many years and have been to most away games the last few years. I refuse to label myself as anything other than loyal. I was a loyal non attending Gashead, I'm now a loyal attending Gashead, I don't feel any different, I am who I am, not what someone else wants to label me. 'Bridgey' UTG ! .....and I'll meet you all in the car park if you disagree

It's all nonsense really. Isn't it? I would take my hat off to all who turn out at The Mem all season or who follow Rovers away across the country whatever the weather, division, or mistreatment from owners/directors. If I owned a hat. But all who pay or have paid to watch Rovers more than they have any other team, for no other reason than that they have the inexplicable misfortune to haven taken Bristol Rovers as their chosen football club... We are all Gasheads. Tempting back past regulars and current part-timers, and tempting in new faces, is the only way a football club can survive, let alone thrive.

Umm... I've only been to one game this year (Northampton at home) yet, dare I say, there would be few more loyal and intense Gasheads than me I'd wager!!!

Out of the interest, what is the capacity for the beam backs? It must be a nice little earner for the club on a Saturday which otherwise would not be generating revenue. Wonder also what they make on food/drink and less overhead than a match day. A very good move by the club. This is a rough estimate ... Hostility Boxes = appox. 15 per box and what are there 20 boxes? = 300. Clubhouse = 200 each side? = 400 Dribuild East Stand 1st floor = around 200? So that is in the region of 900.Might e even more if the East Stand ground floor bars are open. I remember a previous beam-back the club saying over700 attended.

How did it go at the mem ? Hoping some relief at a well earned point but I guess many are wondering why Lawrence starts over Montano, yes ?
I get it the Lawrence is a favoured son but surely Montano needs to start in these games

It does seem that Clarke favours Lawrence for what reason I don't know. But long term he is shooting himself in the foot, we are much better at going forward and Montano gives us that added threat. Hopefully DC sees this after today and thinks back to Portsmouth against better teams Lawrence gets found out,not due to ability but he can't keep up with the play and exposes our left hand side.

Keith Brookman, on the Radio Bristol commentary, said a few times that there were 1,100 at the beam-back at the Mem.
