Less than 1000 tickets left for the entire ground, well home areas at least. From the club's official Twitter page. Interesting to see how many will turn up to pay on the day, could be issues ahead. It'll be interesting to see whether the tomorrows declared attendance (under the new owners), will be more realistic than it was under previous regimes. Going back a bit I know, but I have been stood in both Eastville and Twerton Park when the attendance was announced for that day, to howls of laughter and jeers. And the Mem isn't too much different either . . . on the odd occasion. I remember that this has been discussed before on here, but did we decide that it was most probably a tax ''thing,'' or what?

Am with you on that one fella. I can remember numerous occasions where the official figure has been patently wrong or massaged, as they say now. I used to see certain figures take cash and let people in, once the turnstiles had closed. I am sure that this won't be the case now. This new ownership are different gravy.

I hope this time we really are sold out, the last time the club announced a sell out during the week before the game, when the attendance was announced at the end of the game it was over a 1,000 down on the actual capacity.

13 - 18,000 is not 13,000 - 18,000 I know that, which is why I qualified my acceptance!

I really don't think it is, certainly not at The Mem. I just tend to think football fans are bad at estimating crowds. I have no idea how clubs are taxed, does anyone know how much a club would save- if anything- on underestimating crowds by 1000 over the course of a season?

They'd save about £69,000 a year in undeclared VAT right off the bat (assuming an average ticket price of £15). I agree that fans are crap at estimating crowds mind.

Probably worth it then- tax dodging b******s!
Mind you, the tax I just paid on a bonus makes me think this tax dodging lark could be the way to go.

Yesterday lunchtime, when they announced fewer than 1000 left, my cynical mind was wondering if they'd say it was sold out, at close of business, even if they hadn't - say something like under 400 left - just to prevent chaos this morning, with people trying to snap up the last tickets, and prevent fruitless journeys to the ground.

I've tried to find out what the Easter cup is but searches come up with numerous football competitions. Can you please tell me which of these, if any, it is ? Thanks in advance
