Just caught up with Subs Bench from the other night. Brilliant interview with Steve Hamer. What a difference this guy is compared to the previous one. People I know very well who have given a lot of their time to the club recently had an email from the Chairman, thanking them for their efforts. This small gesture was received with almost slack jawed astonishment because they never ever received a reply from Higgs.

Absolutely. How easy is it to send an email, or a letter even. Small gestures like this are vital to the well being of any football club, especially Rovers

Small gestures like this are vital to the well being of any football club, especially Rovers The guy is being paid a LOT of money to run this club, i would hope a simple e-mail would be the minimum he can do. How about sorting out the sound system would be a good thing to do ?

How about sorting out the sound system would be a good thing to do ? "I heard that, pardon" Sound system is fine in the West Enclosure but awful in the Blackthorn - not really worth spending much money on if we'll be off in 18 months or so, but understand the frustrations with it. Anyway, agree that the email idea is a good one which shows a care for the supporters who have done loads to help the club - great oak trees grow from small acorns and all that!

Small gestures like this are vital to the well being of any football club, especially Rovers I don't think it is that easy when you factor into account the amount of emails the new chairman will be receiving, I have had several communications personally with Steve and Wael who are out and out gentleman, something we haven't seen at board level since the Dennis Dunford era. There just isn't a comparison to be made between where we are now and the shoddy running of the club with the previous chancers, we are very fortunate to have got these guys on board, from dealings I have had so far there is no doubt that these guys mean business, both are flat out making changes at real pace yet still find the time to respond with courtesy and grace to people who contact them. Onwards and upwards, goodbye ragbag Rovers

You're starting to sound suspiciously like you have some kind of hidden agenda... Now that made me laugh... Unlike other people on here, mine is not hidden... i believe in actions not words So do we get to see the list of people who had the hidden agenda? What was the agenda? You never seemed to be able to quite say what it was previously, not in a way that made any sense, was it successfully executed? If so why not tell us how and by whom, and for what underlying reason (the hidden reason), I'm sure I'm not the only person who is curious to learn of the detail behind all of this that has up until at least today stayed away from these forums, you will get much more understanding if you avoid talking in vague riddles and produce a coherent statement that makes any remote level of sense to the masses to consider. My money is another response containing no substance and just jibberish but would dearly love to be proved otherwise, over to you Henbury, detail please....

So because others were petty towards the old BOD previously, you will now be petty to the new board in retaliation? Glad that's clear.

Not sure i understand your statement - i'm fully 110% behind this board until proven otherwise. I do believe they will deliver us a new stadium and other facilities, in fact i understand major progress on the car park issue has been resolved and work will start soon As i say ACTIONS speak louder than words

Yes that is crystal clear thanks, it was an opinion based on nothing more than plenty of fans being open about the mistrust of past board members, and with very good reason, there never was anything hidden about it. So how about your comment accusing current incumbents in box one and two now being 'full of sharks', care to elaborate?

Whilst I don't doubt that you do have contacts, I do doubt that this new group would be giving out such privileged information i think our new chairperson will not be doing this for nothing, so at a good guess, maybe £100,000 + expenses for a good executive these days Who is paying is another matter, maybe he is acting as a consultant to the family and as such is being paid by one of their many companies ??

Whatever his wage is it will be far less than the interest being accrued on the MSP loan so the club are already cash positive following the takeover after the new owners cleared the old boards debt with MSP. Happy days.
