I wrote to the club, a couple of years ago and offered to provide the cherry pickers and labour, to sort out the flaking rust that rains down onto the west terrace and asked some pertinent questions as to the exact paint needed etc. I got no reply. While I understand the club probably wanted the place to look dilapidated I still thought it would be good to have it sorted and gratis. I think a tidy up is long overdue and I would certainly welcome it. I also think it would be a very good idea to cover the away area. We all know what it's like to get soaked and then have to travel home, after a loss as well. I bet it stops people from coming, it would me. I believe the reason that the away end and part of the Dri-build terrace are uncovered, is that the view of parts of the pitch from the seats would be blocked by a roof. When the rugby club built the stand they used architects who had never designed one before. They got the rake of the seats wrong and the pitch had to be moved slightly away from the stand, so that the near touch line remained visible. I would have to have a better look but it seems to me that there are many ways to combat this. I guess we may no longer have to look at the cheapest option eh

Given that this is the major area of the ground to be filled with part timers when we have a big game some kind of temporary investment to keep them dry wouldn't go amiss!

Just love the way the C bomb was avoided by the code. You made an error but it recognised that the two words made up the C bomb lol. I think you've misunderstood - we just don't allow the expression of optimis*........ Ah, ok BUT if you were to mistype the words, not have a gap in between then the two words would have the C bomb. I know other forums do have this built into the source code. You just spoiled me having a giggle. Filthy animal UTG

I believe that this is the sort of thing that our SC directors should be posing questions about. I think that, in the time we have left at the mem, we need to maximise the amount of bodies we can get in and also make sure they still have a very visceral terrace experience but not get petrified by cold and suffer the worst of the inclement weather. I know it's easy for me to make such comment as I am not the one dealing with the reality of it but I do believe in giving the paying customer, a decent match day experience and we could do more and I don't believe it would break the bank to do so. I guess most of us have had the awful experience of going to a game, getting battered by the weather and the opposing side. I know it's not the best of areas, to upgrade, though if you just look at Exeter then you'll see they have the food and drink in the corner. I would like to think that, in the not too distant future, we will be able to have drinks while watching but I won't hold my breath
