As im in exile, i watched the game yesterday on Sky - which was quite nice, to have a whole view of the pitch, be able to watch a few replays. I will admit i have never really seen a lot in Easters play, ive desperately wanted him to be the player we thought we signed, but up until yesterday i wasn't convinced. However, in the second half yesterday Easter (along with Lines) looked a different level above everyone else on the pitch. Good movement, linked up play, found space, and played the simple ball where possible.
If only 70% fit yesterday, i think it is fair to say he will come good, and is worth an easy 15 goals this season - injury permitting.

A couple of things. 1. I thought we had sorted out there, their and they're last week. 2. Taylor runs around as lot, but there is zero end product. He won't even get away with his weak side-foot penalties to the bottom right corner against L2 keepers. The object of the exercise is to score goals, Taylor's conversion rate in the 5th tier was very poor, now, exactly as predicted, he's getting fewer chances against League defences. The sooner we ship him off to Kidderminster or back to FGR and replace him the better for him and us. i personally think the sending off changed the game and much reduced taylor and easters chances of getting a goal,by the time it was 10-a-side taylor was off the field but easter started to push forward more. i was optimistic about all 3 strikers at the start of the season and i still am,,goals come in clusters quite often and i still think taylor can get among the goals. were a newly promoted team so its always likely some players dont make the step up so we will have to see as time goes on which ones flounder, you clearly dont rate taylor but i like him. one thing i do agree with on with him is that he goes to ground to easily ie dives I love Taylor's work rate, but hate his conversion rate and the fact that he's turning into a diver. Other teams can have the divers and players who pretend to be injured. Water under the bridge. Onwards to next Saturday, hopefully Matty will get a hat trick and shut me up.

If Easter is 70% fit, then I cannot wait until he has a dozen games under his belt. His second half performance was very good yesterday. Whilst Taylor does go to the ground early, did you see the size of their CB? He was clearly going to win everything in the air and all 50/50 challenges. If Oxford, Luton and LO are 3 of the favourites, then there is really nothing to fear in this league, as long as our strikers start to perform and up their conversion rates. Also, the two worse misses were by a CB who should have planted 2 headers with ease. I think the performance was excellent throughout, but like Bamber I am beginning to wonder if Taylor is up to it. I thought he was great for us last season. He had a simply through ball for Lines and under hit it. I hope I am wrong and he does start scoring just to shut Bamber up and everyone else can let out a giant sigh of relief! PS - I hope this is grammatically correct.

Don't worry, I've got a long list of things here that I haven't even started moaning about yet. Dried out pasty £3.20 served from a tatty old wooden hut with the only price list being behind the counter. No wonder we can't score goals.

From where I was on Sunday I could look across the pitch and clearly see a massive queue at one hut and maybe half a dozen people waiting at the other hut. When the 2nd half started people from the long queue gave up and went back to watch the game. It shouldn't be beyond even Rovers for one of the hut staff to go to the long queue and direct people to the other hut. Maybe not hugely important in itself, but enough little leaks sink big ships.

So, not only were you unhappy with the state of the pasties, you were dissatisfied with the size of the leaks. Instead of just moaning about it, why don`t you suggest to the club that they change their suppliers?

Was that the hut, long queue, by the West enclosure and hut in South Stand, short queue? If so technically you need a ticket to enter the South Stand. Sometimes enforced sometimes not.
