It was a superb goal though eh. We need end product to all the nice build up play. 10 men each now and a goal down. Harrison on for Taylor. A certain Daryl Eales standing in with the Oxford fans. Ouch It was, no denying, an excellent strike! We're starting to knock on the door... COYB!

The lack of any real quality crosses into the box is a concern. I know we don't have a lot of strikers that are built for it, but still even set pieces have been low quality.

Two really poor refereeing decisions cost us, that and our inability to create and finish chances. Really frustrating because we don't look a bad side!

We had chances, more than u's. Played better with 10 v 11 than 10 v 10.

I know I'm in the minority but I can see it as a red card. Unlucky, but he's caught him in the face with an outstretched arm.
Its not a penalty either. If he'd gone down properly it would've been but if you collapse like that you're asking for the referee to see it as a dive. (I wrote this before seeing the replay where the ref lies about him getting the ball. Definite pen.)
We played well, especially 10 v 11. With a bit more luck with decisions we can be one of the better sides in this division.

Yet again, a referee determined to be the centre of attention, ruins the event for everybody.
But of course, the assessor's report will say that he got all of the important decisions correct.

I think we are predicable even at this juncture and so early on. I think we need to be looking at dead ball play and how to mix it up and I really don't understand having the two wingers but hardly giving them any game time b It's all well & good to see our team play some decent and on the ground ball but we are toothless up front and really are struggling to get decent chances. It must be very frustrating to be defending so well but seeing nothing come of it. Not panicking just yet but feel DC needs to address the dead ball play and maybe changing things a little. I think any decent scout could produce a report on how we play & the better teams will nullify that. Having said that, we were the better side today and beaten by a goal that would grace any stadium in the country. That was one hell of a goal

We still have the same problem, BRFC do not score goals; unfortunately, Taylor is not good enough and easter ffs spends all match playing in mid field knocking two yards passes.I thought he was suppose to be a goal machine, and why o why is sinclair playing on the wing ? IMO he should be in midfield with linsey, who I thought along with Browner was tremendous today.

Strange game today, we seemed to play better when it was 10 v 11, energy dropped off for a bit once it 10 v 10. Great goal that we couldn't have done much about really settled it. Oxford weren't a brilliant team and we're there for the asking, seemed to be lacking a little cutting edge in the final third.

I think he would do well sat behind two strikers but I don't think that opportunity will come. I think he is by far our best playmaker and always draws players to him. I think we are missing Monkey big time.

putting the diabolical refereeing aside we were the better side once Sinclair went back to the center of midfield where IMHO is where he should be playing. Others have slated Easter for playing like a midfielder and I am in no way defending him but it's obvious that he was told to drop deep once we went down to 10 men. I haven't seen anything from the 2 M's too consider that they're worth keeping, Bodin looked up for it when he came on and he needs to have an opportunity to show what he can offer from the start of a game. Like the general consensus we need strikers who can play the way DC wants, and for me Taylor & Easter ain't it. If we continue to pump balls into the box then we need a bloody good target man. Easier said than done/acquired. I'm sure DC knows this but budget constrains etc..... A little birdy mentioned getting £38k for TV rights for the game, would this be enough to put towards a loan signing?

This being my first game at the mem in over2 years and was sort of impressed with what is now to what was then.......thought the SO was what nullified the rovers game and any chance of anything working between Taylor and Easter was gone with that decision,Oxford seemed to be more than happy to spoil the game and grab what they eventually got, never really impressed any authority on the game after the sending off, in fact thought Rovers were the better team, only when it was ten a side did they show any thing of a team to want anything from the game,Ref looked as though he was straight out of the Western league and was not up to the job, same for the assistant on the sunny side.Overall the game was pretty even and rovers were unfortunate to come away with nowt'
