So a chance to get our season up and running tomorrow & also a shot at really embarrassing that gorm with the 'could be Bristol Rovers' sign! How do you see it all going?! With the glovers shipping 3 in both their games so far, I fancy us to come away with the points. Also providing we go with the same line up that played so well against Brum.
Regrettably can't be there tomorrow (work) which is an even bigger shame as I haven't ever seen us lose at Huish, witnessing a 3-0 win, 1-0 win and a 2-2 draw!
It's up to one of you to bring the extra luck!
Best wishes,
The Dude

Of the games i'm actually going to go to, this is my least favourite away trip in the division this year.
I'm hoping that the first game rustiness has worn off and we can play like we did against Birmingham, or better.

I vowed that I would never go to Huish Park again after my first (and last) experience of the place, which was truly awful. The rain was lashing down all morning and the wind was gale force, when we were admitted to the away end. I had seen this part of the ground on TV, but it really didn't do it justice. By the time that the match finished (0-0 by the way ), I was freezing cold and blown inside out. And that animal Terry Skiverton clattered one of ours on the half-way line, and I heard his shout of anguish all the way to the open end. He was a loan player as I remember, who looked quite promising but never recovered. Well not with us at any rate.

I've been racking my brains trying to remember the players Christian name, and the best that I could come up with was Keith . . . which I knew was wrong. So many thanks for that. Skiverton came at him from behind and did some quite serious damage to his knee, and all of it was quite unnecessary as he was stood stationary in the centre circle with his back to the goal. From memory BRFC did support the player during his rehabilitation, but he never played for us again. In fact I don't think that he played much at all subsequently.

A very poor player but didn't deserve that from that.

Played ten games or so for Luton after that but nothing on Wiki since. ETA: He returned to Coventry but for some reason, he didn't do the proper rehab on his knee. He was set to sign for you but couldn't prove his fitness because of his rehab issues. Re the terrace and the rain. The majority of our fans are housed on an open terrace with an equally poor view at The Mem so no points gained there, methinks.

Yeah but I don't go in the away end at the Mem so that's never bothered me

19/10 for the away win with Easter to score at any time. Worth a dabble.
Is lines going to play?

Never been to Yeovile, always had a totally irrational dislike for them, and all caused by Gary Johnson and his horrible estuary accent. This was then compounded by that vile supporter and his sign, which has made me hate everything to do with Yeovile. My wife, daughter and I are going, I hope we totally stuff them, they get a couple of sendings off and the match finishes with some great banners and signs from the Gas. I then look forward to sturrocks post match interview, which will be unintelligible, because he sounds like a Glasgow drunk who has just been punched in the mouth.
Probably not my most reasoned post ever - but it's how I feel.
