Charlotte Leslie saw an opportunity to grab votes. Very cynical and errrrr where did it get us? So if she had done nothing you would have criticised her for not helping the club; She tries to help the club including getting our name in Parliament and you say she was after votes. She didn't need to do any of that... Disgraceful isn't it.
Local MP accused of attempting to represent the views of local people and help create employment, housing and infrastructure.

The green representative as expected offer no constructive alternative in the discussion other than 'it is a 'memorial' stadium / no ideas how best to use it / maintain it in the future - absolute garbage
Perhaps we can get someone to finance a new stadium entirely separate creating an appropriate garden with the memorial gates etc there and then allow the mem to rot and rust create a lovely environment for rats - the 'greens' would have something to answer to local residents for!

i know a good use for it......... lets build a speedway stadium... no hassle there with unruly crowds That's a thought. But would it pass the Diana Scrafton test when she says that ''it’s a memorial sports ground and we believe that that’s what it should remain.'' That would be a difficult thing to achieve without completely redeveloping the site, besides which should the owners of a property/piece of land be dictated to as to what they may or may not do with their own property? In our case the answer to that question would appear to be yes, because TRASH do appear to see themselves as the final arbiter on what happens not only to the Mem, but also at the Mem. As regards Charlotte Leslie's contribution, I cannot speak highly enough of her high profile involvement. Despite some people thinking that she is only in it for the votes (well after all we are only just into a five year parliament, so it's not pressing), she has consistently done whatever has been asked of her to support the club, and according to what she said in the interview that will not change. So good for her, and many thanks from me at least.

There's the difference in us I'd never even contemplated thoughts like that about Doug All these MPs are the same, all detached from the voters, I think they should make more effort to connect with us. Charlotte could have celebrated her election victory ripping her sweat drenched, figure hugging shirt off and offering to swap it with one of the other candidates.
