A joint venture which included us. The lease was a short term one due to the demolition of the building for Cabot Circus.

What time did you get there? I'm pretty sure it's open till 1pm on a Saturday. Club Shop: The club has two official club shops, Pirate Leisure at the Memorial Stadium and the Supporter's Club shop in Kingswood. Pirate Leisure Opening Hours: 9am-5pm Mon - Fri, 9am - 1pm Saturday (non match day), 9am - kick off and again after the game (match day).

Not that any home shirts are left.. £40 quid nothing for them, it costs them a couple grand to come here for two weeks homestay/studying and are not looking for any kind of discounts when here. I should have checked - we got there at 2.30...extra homework for me....

I was agreeing with you mate! sorry dagnogo I meant to quote the poster who was questioning the authenticity of some overseas students wanting to spend £40 on a league 2 shirt- to him I say why not? In CATALUNYA an official Barca shirt is over 100 euro - same for a J-league shirt in Tokyo...

The purpose of a shop is to suit the shop and not its customers. Obviously. People should clearly visit on a work day rather than a weekend. We'll all be millionaires soon. You watch. Being serious, the solution is NOT to close the shop on a saturday! The solution is for people to read the opening times before they travel.

What's the betting if the shop was open somebody would ask why the shop's open on a Saturday during preseason when there's hardly any customers? none at all. It is often ticking over whenever I go in there, and there are not just sitting there waiting for customers to walk in. Lots of it is telephone orders, internet, stock ordering etc.

That's even worse than the first option. Dependant on people to man your shop for free, when they aren't available the shop doesn't open. Isn't that how most supporters club shops exist at this level with voluntary staff ? just to be clear the OP was talking about the Mem shop, not Supp Club shop. They aren't volunteers although they may utilise vols to help. I doubt many official club shops at FL level are run by vols. I presume Bernie & Paul at Kingswood shop are paid, but also utilise vols, and may well do vol work there.
