Blissett, Puddy and Clarke O are not in my view Football league players ..would have liked Will Hoskins on short term deal to prove his fitness, Harry Pell and Ryan Clarke. Danny Greensalde is a good deputy for Browner and I hope Jamie Lucas gets some friendlies to prove he is capable at this level. So many things wrong with this post, so little time to argue against them.

What is it with the infatuation of ex players with this club? Move on.

Two wingers a goalie and another centre half as parks will be gone in January! 300k wouldn't be far off IMO disappointed we haven't done what exeter have and give Hoskins a trial?

Harry Buckle, You are entitled to your opinion but Will Hoskins has been trying to prove his fitness since he left us, Harry Pell did not prove to be good enough in the Conference and Ryan Clarke is poor compared to Mildenhall. Danny Greenslade is not as yet a proven replacement for Browner and Jamie Lucas has,as yet only proved himself in the division below Conference. Tend to agree of your assessment of Ollie Clarke although still think he is a better bet than Pell. There are plenty of players around with NO PAST ROVERS CONNECTION and I am more than happy to leave it to Clarke to bring in who he wants, personally I would be going for LDV,Dawson and Conrad Logan. Blissett may yet prove to be a useful player and Puddy deserves a chance even if as a number 2.

I think he will be looking to the loan market for 2/3 players.
With 700 professional UK footballers without a contract daryll is in the driving seat here. Character is important in team building, we don't want an otoole to bring down everyone.
I'd like tom murphy from Dover who's a great young winger

If he concentrates on improving his first touch, at the moment it is like an elephants first touch Blissit will come good, believe me! Remember when he first came to us? I will go on record saying that bliss will become a very useful player. Far better than Matt harrold. I hope you are right about Bliss. When he played against us at the mem for kiddy I thought him to be the best player on the pitch that day. I don't know whether he lost confidence or got a little overawed by the intensity of the second half of the season; he just seemed to get progressively worse, his first touch being particularly clumsy. Let's hope Marcus helps him this season.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Bliss terrorised our back four playing for Kiddy as he picked the ball up mid half (not needing a first touch as such) and ran with pace at them, the old cliché "defenders do not like pace". Now he's on the corner of the box, or wider, with the ball pinged to him which he sometimes fails to control and has to go from a standing start. He's out of position; he is a trier though.

Yes opinions eh ! I do respect yours too and I have no obsession with former players returning ...Lines for example ....however I felt Pell matured and improved so much since his cameo with us and would pick him in favour of Ollie Clarke. I have seen Greenslade and Lucas and support our youth team and policy and would love to see them break through rather than get in a journeyman. My opinion on Bliss is shared by lots of fans I speak to and I feel Stewart has a major job on his hands to develop him. But hope he does and he can be sold to a Premier side for £4m

Pell being shown the door by Eastleigh hardly suggests he's now Div 2 material? Although OC as an hell of a lot to prove in preseason.

I think ollie Clarke is coming in for a bit of unfair stick. He did pretty well for a young lad and when he had the ball upto 30 yards out, you always felt he might hit a screamer. I hope he gets some game time this year, even if it's coming off the bench because we are 3-0 up.

Each of us have players we rate and some we don't...opinions on Richards in the past was a prime example ...some thought he was our best striker while others just thought he was an impact sub....seems also that DC did not rate Harrison until the tail of the season as he rarely started a match ..some players actively get fans on their side an example of this was Sinclair ...but the true test for him and several others such as Taylor,Blisset and Gosling is can they all step up to become Football League players. Come August we will find out

Very true harrybuckle, Some people made themselves look very stupid with their opinion on Lambert but there again if you are willing to give your honest views on a player and they are not complimentary you are always sometimes going to be reminded. I am always going to be reminded on a comment I made on Marcus Stewart in his very early days where I thought he was going to be another of the shortish players we seemed to produce and I quote myself as saying "he will never be a good footballer as long as he has a hole in his arse". I think I deserve to be reminded of it!!!!!!!

I must admit I always praised a young LEWIS HALDANE ...his pace was stunning at 18 years old and I said he would make it right to the top - ended up at Port Vale !
Mind you my own personal recommendation to Rovers when I was manager of Deerswood Youth Under 8's was to phone Rovers Roy Dolling on the Monday after we had played Bath Arsenal at Bath Uni after I saw a very talented young lad ...he was SCOTT SINCLAIR ....he made his Rovers first team debut at 15 and later sold to Chelsea for £1m. The most gifted seven year old I have ever seen.
