If we fail either in the semi's or the final, I just hope the players all give 100%. We cant ask for anymore than that. The worse thing now is if the team bottles it big time when they have done so well to be where we are.
If we fail, I dont want to be going through the summer down in the dumps, disappointed thinking we bottled it. I would prefer to go through the summer with my head held high thinking positive that we did our best and there is no shame in that.
I would hope we keep the likes of Parkes, Brown, Mansell, Harrison, Mildenhall and Sinclair, all who have impressed this season and could play at a higher level.

5 out of the 6 named have played at a higher level. Although I think Mildy is heading towards goalkeeping coach myself.

Mildenhall ? Yes Mildenhall. Every keeper makes mistakes but he is 1 of if not the best keeper in our league and I believe can still play at a higher level.

No Away Goals for the record
If we fail, I can't imagine we could afford to keep Mildy unless he took a decent pay cut

I like Mildy, but you can get an adequate keeper at this level for probably far, far less than he is on.

Mildenhall has lost his place in the team, is on a nice wage, and turns 36 next month. Unless something happens to Puddy in the next few games, Steve has played his last game for Rovers.

Agreed age is catching up with him, he is already not the same keeper as when he first came and will only get worse now. Expect he is on a lot more than Puddy, time for him to move on and for us to bring in a keeper on less wages to challange Puddy.

No Away Goals for the record Do you mean there is no away goal rule in the play offs? Thats good to know if thats the case. Do you know if its level at 90 minutes, if there is to be extra time? I presume that is the case.

With the play offs now, would you go for experience in goal, especially at Wembley or stick with Puddy? I understand your point with Mildenhall but Puddy has made mistakes too. The most recent mistake could be classed as the reason we are not champions right now. Between the both of them, they have have had something like over 20 clean sheets this season. I know the defence plays their part too in with that stat but still very good.

I'm not a big Mildenhall fan - but at 36 he's still got 2 or 3 years in him if fitness remains so we will have to decide if the budget can accommodate him as back up / coach or let him leave I guess.

Remember Kevin Miller, he has retired at 46, although he was playing in a team in Cornwall. Great keeper in his day

Promote Puddy to first team and have that young ginger lad on the bench.

Thanks for that dick brain (assuming you want to get personal about it) But logic dictates that to suggest that we can get someone cheaper requires some knowledge of the current payment. Maybe you could be more civil and polite to a perfectly reasonable question next time.
