Can anyone tell me what the club receives from BT sport for having their game shown live. It's been suggested £6,000 for the home side, less for the away team, not exactly an awful lot really especially where there can be sometimes the inconvenience of an early kick off to account for.

Exactly the reason dover wouldn't want it televised as they could lose a lot of away fans. £6k would only amount to about 500 gasheads. And that's before programme sales, food etc

I doubt Dover or any Conference club have any say which game is shown? As far as our (I assume) club shop suggesting it's not our match I wonder if they would even know if BT were in talks with Dover?
If it's not us then it's poor management by BT not to show the biggest supported club in the Conference the maximum number of games?

I don't care if they do show the Dover match, I'm still going, there's no where else I'd rather be than at the live game, the players aren't going to hear me cheering them on sat in front of a TV are they ? COYB's !!!

Looking at the fixtures on the 18th, I can see either Gateshead vs FGR as its a chase for the play offs or Alfreton vs Welling as that is a relegation 6 pointer.

IF it were the Dover game, i very much doubt,at this stage and state of play in the season it would affect the amount of rover fans going to that game .......sell out for away travellers no worries

Its just having to get there for an early kick off that would piss me off. If I wanted to travel 200+ only to have my plans interfered with by TV companies, I'd support a Premiers**t team.
