Johnson's gone to Cheltenham.
Long may he stay there if it means he can't come here.
If Clarke goes, we need another young, hungry coach - not people trading off old glories with local clubs, or in one manager's case, old non-glory with ours.

Oh the relief is tangible isn't it?
If he keeps them up, you can surely say "well done" with the grace that befits the Forum world.

Or you could put it another way he kept a village team at a higher level than us for most if not all of the seven seasons he was at Yeovil which I think is a huge over achievement and took over the mob across the way when they were struggling in div 1 and got them within an ace of premiership football, it depends how you want to look at it.

What you say is true, but I look more at a manager's recent record than previous stuff. GJ deserves full credit for the job he did at Yeovil and to a lesser extent at City given the ridiculous financial resources at his disposal at BS3. And no-one can really judge him for Yeovil's relegation from the Championship given their relatively low resources. But to then drop through League 1 like a stone is a worry really. As for them being a higher level than us, well that's our fault.

The reason why they have dropped this season is because they have lost vital players at the end of last season and they have limited resources. They are finding their natural level.
How can you describe him as a busted flush? He performed a football miracle 2 seasons ago when he was 57. Now he is a busted flush at 59. 22 months from hero to zero.
Some perspective please.
Using your logic, Roy Hodgson should never have got a job in football after he led BCFC to the 4th Division in 1981-2.

only just saw this news.
I really get a feeling that these constant GJ 'rumours' are sometimes malicious.

Yeovil lost three players to bigger clubs in the close season.
A team that battled against relegation from the Championship right to the end, minus 3 players, shouldn't drop like a dead weight out of League 1 really.
Your Roy Hodgson analogy is deliberately ridiculous and doesn't warrant any comment.

We may or not be building a ground, but we are definitely building some positivity around the football side and the management team. Clarke is still a young manager. He has made mistakes but I would rather see him grow with us then replace him some bloke who basically doesn't want to leave the west country and wants us a nice cushy job to keep his money topped up.
Johnson if he was appointed manager at any time will just split the opinions of fans as much as anyone. All those people who were and have criticised Clarke from Day One and haven't wanted to give him a chance would they be talking down the nay sayers if Jonson was getting s**t after half a dozen games?
