strange comments from the usual idiots on here,,,it was a tough game against a good team in our league,,,i was annoyed we didnt pass the ball better and today at times our midfield did struggle but in the 2nd half lines and lockyer started to assert themselves on macclesfield, we really needed to win but the cheap shot posts from some on here beggars belief Totally agree with you AND I was actually at game too SUPER fan or WHAT?

Macclesfield are a much better team than bloody aldershot I think they have the 2nd best home record in the league and the 2nd best defensive record, we were poor in the first half but as usual played far better in the 2nd half. Which is why we should be going out to attack them from the 1st minute DC's tactics, especially away from home are dull, negative and excrutiatingly Painful to watch

Totally agree with you AND I was actually at game too *WOW* You WERE "actually" at THE game? Yes I was actually, not that I consider that to be of any great significance as there were plenty of others there too. I've never felt that by going to games makes me any better than any other fan and I should know having gone a period of 43 years without seeing any games, so what point are you trying to make ?

Totally agree with you AND I was actually at game too SUPER fan or WHAT? Not really no, I'm very fortunate now to be financially able to attend games which I wasn't previously. I've never felt that by going to games makes me any better than any other fan and I should know having gone a period of 43 years without seeing any games, so what point are you trying to make ?

They think that tv gives a better view than being at the game. TV did not give a view of wind and other conditions!

The tactic which I thought we should've employed (or at least tried) was taking balanta off, bringing Clarke on and switching to 3-5-2.
Clarke, for me operates best in a 5man midfield, and we were struggling to cope in that department. I like Clarke box to box, and he can hit the odd screamer.
I would've also liked to have seen Blissett on a bit earlier. It was a battle out there and Matty got an atrocious elbow not seen, did little after that. Bliss could've offered more direct play option and set piece target.

The amount of times I have seen Rovers turned over on a windy day/night at the Mem!!
`More to the point Macclesfield were at us from the off and we couldn't settle and play any type of game at all. Combined with having a non existent and one if the worst mid fields I can remember supporting Rovers, coming away with a point is good. Enough said. Moving swiftly on.`
By the by, Macclesfield were one of the worst, if not the worst side I have seen at the Mem this season and its no surprise that is the best they have played at home for 3 games.

What can't be ignored is Macclesfield offered virtually nothing as an attacking team their only goal scoring chances coming from our mistakes. Unfortunately despite having a budget 4x, or even 6x greater apart from Lines late free kick we never looked like troubling the opposition goalie, I've no idea how we're going to get wins at Kidderminster or Dover playing as are at present.

fact is 2 of the best teams in the conference drew 0-0,,,the midfield wernt great though i thought lines and lockyer had a decent 2nd half,,monkhouse had a poor game with the ball but his form has been pretty good of late and of course 2 of our best midfield players were not available

People can churn out all the excuses under the sun but the game was poor. I welcome the return of Mansell and personally think the jack of all trades Tom Lockyer deserves a welcome seat on the bench. And that is not a dig at all. I feel his game is suffering being shoved from right back to centre half to midfield.

it was of course a poor game,,,i think lockyer finds it harder to be consistent in midfield but cant see him taking leadbitters place a right back,so logically mansell partners lines and tom drops to the bench so i agree with that. for me the real problem with the macclesfield game is we needed to find a way to win the match and we didnt manage that,

I have friends in Macclesfield. It's well enough known round the town about the scarcity of funds and the short term contracts the squad are on
