I received a text late last night from my mate who's a Utd fan it read: "Bristol City are on BBC1 , I've turned it off out of respect for you" Made me chuckle!!

I was in Southampton chatting to this couple who it turned out were Swindon town fans, they hated city more than me which made me chuckle haha

You're right, funny how the memory fades it definitely was Bannister with the winner. I didn't go to that game but was at Molineux for the next round where we got beat 4-0!

Just trying to be positive. Mr Dunford Senior was off sick, Junior was in charge. We were relegated after one season 'That's ominous' said I, jokingly.

I referred to United being relegated from the first to the second, in old money. I still remember the hordes of mancs on the Muller Road in `75. A good draw for the Rovers in a United side which included all the household names from that era.
