I'm sorry but I've got to say it: The club could have done more before now to encourage away support at a difficult fixture such as this. It's a key match. Perhaps organising free travel for 1000 Gas wouldn't cost the earth, and the rewards would go further to bridge the gap between club and supporters that Mr Higgs keeps praising about. If the club were serious, if the club wanted to acknowledge how important a high level vocal support is, if the club valued the loyalty so far given by many of us for last ten years, especially this season. Other clubs have done it. We even done it back in 80s with an away trip to Walsall.....we got trounced 5-0 but it's the thought that counts! Haha! Hmmmmmm......then again.....?? I was there! I lived in Stourbridge at the time and regulary watched Chic Bates who went on to play for us

Suggestions over last few days have continually stated only 600 tickets sold - does anyone know what the actual figure is. I am sure we must have sold a few more this week.

Suggestions over last few days have continually stated only 600 tickets sold - does anyone know what the actual figure is. I am sure we must have sold a few more this week. Latest reports by people who have bought tickets suggest we may be near the 800 mark, we've also been allocated another batch of tickets which gives us a total of 1450 available to purchase. So we may get to a 1,000, who knows ? Not everyone is in a financial position to keep shelling out money for away games and fuel costs, although I'm sure there are many who wish they could. I think we'll do well to get 1,000 but whatever it is, it will still be a great achievement.

In all fairness, our recent run of away games has been Grimsby, Gateshead and Halifax so I'm not surprised if pockets are feeling a bit bruised after that lot! But - if you can get there, I say do it

I was told 600 last week so that implies that no more have been sold which seems hard to believe!!!

There's still another three days to go to buy tickets so there's still plenty of time for people to get them....UTG !!

If you get to Macclesfield early enough, check out the Lemon Buns in Brassingtons (in Sunderland Street, near the station). www.brassingtonsbakery.co.uk

YEEELLLLLOOOWWWWS, YEEELLLLLLOOOOOWWWWS! I would imagine we'll be in yellow given Maccs blue and white kit. Could be a good omen for those who can make it. Lots of tickets left for Macc - get off the sofa and get to Macc and ensure there is a large gas following to cheer the boys on in this crucial game. Golden Lion 10/11am sounds good!!!

Travelling from Manchester with four mates who are used to premier league games and seating, will be a rude awakening for them on the terrace!
Particularly if it rains
