dont know who was sent off for Barnet though Stephens, two yellows. It all helps, well hopefully it does. 6 foot 4 defender who's played basically every game

So, technically they are two points in front of us on same number of games. Very nip and tuck now until the end of the season. Mad Dog will bottle it! Technically, they are 1 point plus goal difference ahead of us. If you need that in points terms, 1 and a half points is a bit closer to how it works.

Akinde booked an' all, that's 8 now isn't it? yes. just as I was wondering /worrying if he would get of the seven mark, he did. perfect timing. that should create a few doubts in his head now. still 5 games for them before the cut-off point! what odds on a 10th yellow on 11th april, and banned for last 2 games of the season? Amazing stat - he's only scored 2 in the 8 games where he has been booked, and Barnet have only got 6 points from those 8 matches!

Hate to disappoint but Akinde has 7 yellows. I suspect either the incorrectly reported one that Bondz Ngala received or the red card he received have confused a few.

Akinde has received 8 yellows, one of which he recieved a second yellow in the same match and so served a one match ban. In terms of FA disciplinary rules he has seven yellows going forwards towards suspension.

I had heard about the N'gala mix up, and the 2 yellows, but I believe that (a) N'gala mix up been sorted, (b) I looked up the rules about 2 yellows and am quite clear, as you are, that the 1st counts, the 2nd doesn't Therefore it seems like it is 8. which match was the n'gala mixup? soccerbase is clear and detailed... www.soccerbase.com/players/home.sd?search=john+akindeyour own website says 8 - www.barnetfc.com/stats/player-stats/A good way to test it could be to ask big John to get 2 more and see what happens

In terms of FA disciplinary rules he has seven yellows going forwards towards suspension. it seems like he has had 9 yellows, 8 of which count. let him get another and then we can check the FA website. that is never wrong once someone has 9.

BBC and soccerbase show akinde booked in the dying seconds (and N'Gala not booked)

It is a strange position that we are now hoping John Akinde, a player who was treated as a standing joke by Rovers fans for years, will pick up 2 bookings because we are worried he is going to score the goals that prevent us going up.

No stranger than fans hoping Harrison starts tomorrow and gets the goals which will gets promoted , when at the end of last season nobody complained when he was transfer listed.
You also have to bear in mind Akinde as never made it in league football so far in his career.

if it was macc away then you may have a point. BBC and soccerbase show akinde booked in the dying seconds (and N'Gala not booked) I think the easiest way for you to be sure is to count the number of yellows prior to the 5 yellows cut off on the 30 November. You will find it is five and by your reckoning he would've served a one match ban at the time, the reason he didnt is because all the press agencies got the booking at macc wrong. So since 30 November he has recieved a further 3 bookings and is now on 7 bookings, with the eighth being a second yellow for which he go a red and served a one match ban.

It may matter to some about Akinde, but no offence to them or anyone else, I couldn't give a fig how many cards he is on or not on. It's a team game and Barnet at the moment have their noses in front and are deservedly better than us. Akinde or no Akinde, that is not a question!
