You've done it now. Pinned straight to the wall of the Barnet dressing room - he doesn't need a team talk to motivate his players, just look at what Buckrippers said about us.......

Pretty sure he won't give a fig about anything I've written. Not sure he'll have room on the dressing room wall either, Curly, what with his own rambling letter to the fans/players!

Reading that reminds me of a young Kevin Keegan (well perhaps not so young)

Barnet will NOT win this league. No chance. I'm not saying we will, but, I think it will be us, Grimsby, Macclesfield or Eastleigh.

I don't think the big spending thing is actually at us. More the new money soon to go bust clubs. Course it's aimed at us , he refers to being in 2nd place and refers to getting 7000 each week , he's hardly going to mention the teams that really are throwing the cash around ie: Eastleigh and Fgr when they are in fifth or sixth, as a previous poster said it's his attempt at mind games and us being their closest competition it is all for our benefit even if slighltly off the mark regarding us chucking money around.

The letter was aimed at getting Barnet fans behind him and the team. It worked, we got one of our highest away support of the season and the team fed off the support they were given. Whether they can keep the performances coming at Halifax with little support and crap conditions remains to be seen. I find it odd that because he quotes the highest attendance in the league you decide that the whole letter is about just Bristol Rovers and that Bristol Rovers were the target audience, if you had seen our home support booing the team off a week ago then maybe the letter would've made more sense to you considering the circumstances.

Don't worry Beesknees, not all of us on this forum are into conspiracy theories....lol ! It's obvious to me that it was directly aimed at your support a sort of 'rallying cry' if you like with a little sideways swipe at us as your nearest challengers. More twists and turns still to come I'm sure, we're just not playing well enough to suggest we will 'run away with it' although our squad has become significantly stronger in the last week with the acquisition of Chris Lines, the return of Jermaine Easter and our continued team spirit to pull results from the brink of defeat, Eastleigh excepted of course It's all getting rather exciting........

No mate I wasn't saying that the reason for his open letter was geared all towards us it was a rallying call with a little mind game that yes was directed at us in regards to 7000 gates and money spent ( obviously referring to the championship striker and former championship midfielder that we've recruited in our promotion quest), no one else gets 7000+ in the conference do they and we are your nearest rival for the title my friend , it's not that hard to realise.

Mind you, you're bound to think that Martin Allen's rant did its job. The trick will be to keep the momentum going. Let's hope that he isn't successful eh?
