Good news!
Bristol Rovers have been brave enough to allocate 'The Retail Panel' some product space within in the Club Shop, solely to display products that fans have developed. We are led to believe this space is big enough to display 6 items of clothing.
With the end of the season drawing ever closer the panel have already designed five products but would really appreciate your help creating a sixth item.
The five products so far are:
1) Yellow 1883 logo on a black Polo Shirt
2) 1883 logo on a long sleeved Sweater (colours undecided)
3) A Stuart Sinclair t-Shirt (black on white)
4) Goodnight Irene song sheet T-shirt (white on blue)
5) Goodnight Irene 'swoosh' text T-shirt.
The Panel are now running a fun competition for fans to submit t-shirt designs.
Fans will also decide which design they like best and the winning designer will see their shirt go on sale, as well as receive a free copy of their winning design.
The Panel have thought how best to run the competition and decided Facebook was the best tool to help fans upload images and for the Panel to gauge popularity.
The Competition (including rules) can be found here: www.facebook.com/events/292251340898691/292251357565356/
Apologies if all this seems rushed, with production times and season end approaching there is a need to strike while the iron is hot.
Please bear in mind we are at the start of a journey here. It hasn't been done before and nobody has all the answers
The Panel realise not everybody has Facebook, but felt this was the best tool at our disposal, given the circumstances.
We are very open to suggestions how we might manage this better next time, whilst maintaining a degree of independence from the club.
The Panel fully expect, when stock sells out, that this idea will become more regular, until eventually all six designs are by fans and approved by fans.
Thank you ever so much in advance for your participation.
Let your creative juices flow!
