I would have asked Kim Stuckey for a copy of the Agenda For Change document and would have asked Mike Turl's advice about how the club was structured, financed and run. Taking that on board may well have prevented the state of perpetual crisis that Rovers exist in. You would have been told that the RAFC doc was an attempt to freeze out the majority shareholders and take over the football club. Quite wrong but that is what you would have been encouraged to believe by 'the majority shareholders' In which case, to answer the original question posed by Bluebeard, no, I wouldn't have been dragged along from one crisis to the next because I wouldn't have joined a board that was set to repeat the same mistakes over and over. As a footnote. Mike Turl took his evil revolutionary blueprint to Solihull Moors. They were hemorrhaging money and going nowhere. Now, with the inspirational Marcus Bignot keeping the place buzzing they are comfortable mid-table 1 division below Rovers, have a U18, U19 and reserve team and an active community dept. And are turning a modest profit. All that achieved with an average home crowd this season of 430.

Whatever next?

Don't want to get into this at this time of night, but probably the best post I have ever read on here. Indeed, has been said a number of times over the years but yet they still persist in ignoring it and doing things their own way. To ignore that sound document is insanity as has been proved by the enormous hole the BoD have dug themselves into, yet they carry on digging!?!?!?!?! OK, so they've proved beyond any doubt that they will not listen to the sound business advice of Mike Turl. Maybe they could at least heed the advice of a man far, far wiser than even Mr Turl in Albert Einstein:- Until they wake up and follow his advice nothing will EVER change at BRFC. OK, so Einstein's long dead but Mike Turl is not and they could do far worse than seek his advice, advice he gave them a long time ago that went unheeded.

Lazza he is the enemy of many on here and his name should not be mentioned or spoken of. Mighty will be the fall of the one who does!! Twas he who caused all BRFC problems with his gang of 4 or was it 5 or 6??? Maybe it was the 100 internet warriors! The hounds of hell will be after you..... PS what did Einstein know about running a football club?

PS what did Einstein know about running a football club? Oh. I thought it was TRASH, or Sainsbury's, or that photographer bloke, or the city council, or Wycombe Wanderers, or Lennie Lawrence, or John Ward. I'm struggling to keep up here. Maybe the world's against us. Maybe it's something to do with Venus being in Pisces for the last 15 years or something. Wasn't Einstein a goalkeeper? Or am I thinking of Julio Iglesias? Or the late Pope? Or David Icke?

I've done a little research, and can confirm Camus, Frost and Conan-Doyle all had a goalkeeping pedigree. And (very loose) Rovers connections. Camus played as goalkeeper for Racing Universitaire d'Alger (RUA won both the North African Champions Cup and the North African Cup twice each in the 1930s) junior team from 1928 to 1930. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_CamusOriginated the chant on the Tote End aimed at the Thirteen Arches: "Eh-Euh...c'est une bibliothèque". David Frost rejected the offer of professional terms to become a goalkeeper for Nottingham Forest. www.cai.cam.ac.uk/sites/www.cai.cam.ac.uk/files/downloads/Once%20a%20Caian...%20Issue%2014.pdfAmongst Frost's many classic interviews was the retrospective of the 1990 Third Division title clincher, "Nixon in Blackpool". While living in Southsea, Doyle played football as a goalkeeper for Portsmouth Association Football Club, an amateur side, under the pseudonym A. C. Smith. (This club, disbanded in 1896, has no connection with the present-day Portsmouth F.C., which was founded in 1898.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Conan_DoyleOne of the Sherlock Holmes short stories, "The Adventures of the Red-Headed Non-League", arguably anticipates the departure of Matt Harrold before relegation in 2014.

David Icke was a goalkeeper for Hereford and played for them (I think) against us in the 1973/74 promotion season. That was his final season before retiring through abduction by lizards injury.

Fabulous! What about His Late Sainted Holiness? As a boy, Wojtyła was athletic, often playing football as goalkeeper.[22] During his childhood, Wojtyła had contact with Wadowice's large Jewish community.[23] School football games were often organised between teams of Jews and Catholics, and Wojtyła often played on the Jewish side.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_John_Paul_II
The doctrine of papal infallibility, confirmed by John Paul II, is believed to have inspired former Rovers manager Paul Buckle in his successful managerial career.

Karol Józef Wojtyła was born in the Polish town of Wadowice. As a boy, Wojtyła was athletic, often playing football as a goalie for school and university. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_life_of_Pope_John_Paul_III am unable to find any Rovers' connections. Nor any suggestion that his brother Edmund, who was 13 years his senior, persuaded the young Karol to go in goal. He was never heard to quote: "Am I my brother's keeper?" Genesis, 4:9. For more on religious goalkeeping, see: www.goalkeepersaredifferent.com/keeper/faithframe.htm How did we get into this? Not so much a thread hijack, as going off at a complete tangent!

Originated the chant on the Tote End aimed at the Thirteen Arches: "Eh-Euh...c'est une bibliothèque".
I'd quite like us to adopt this chant. I'm sure it'll be more noticeable than the English equivalent, and should provoke a few confused faces
