Anyone know where HG is these days? Still here just keep a low profile on here now Can you explain why you stopped posting at the same time as Trym Gas started posting then (registered within an hour of HG's last post), share the same IP address as Trym Gas, and use the same language/posting style as Trym Gas then? We have rules against multiple accounts for good reason, but turned a blind eye when you stopped using the HG account. If you're going to start using the Henbury Gas account again, let me know and I'll disable Trym Gas.

Regarding memorials, I was in Greenbank Cemetery yesterday checking in on family. My great great uncle Charlie's grave stands in an area of the cemetery that was cleared a while back and we had to ask the council not to remove his headstone. He only died in the 1960s.
Point is, nothing is permanent and it shouldn't be either. I support having a memorial to those sportsmen who signed up one hundred years ago but I don't see that it has to be in Horfield. A new one at Frenchay commemorating all those footballers of both codes would be good - Bristol may be relinquishing their own history but we can maintain a part of it.

I presume you will also be stopping posting on Gaschat too given the reasons you sent in your message. I wish you luck in the future.

Doesn't mean you can't publish your opinion on other matters under your own user name Henbury. Each forum needs as wide a range of input and views as possible even if people don't agree with you! Whatever your decision best of luck to you for the future.

You bet. Unless I'm mistaken, Stephen Barrett, Committee Member of Horfield Residents Opposed to Stadium Expansion (ROSE) is the same Stephen Barrett, Director of TRASHorfield. C'mon, embrace change Stephen! Nothing better to do with his free time? Shame planning permission has been granted on both occasions yet nothing will likely come of them. I've lived in a student house in Horfield since September and we get so much stuff about bizarre initiatives and other crap posted through our door by the neighbours it's unreal, now I'm again cleared fit enough to drive (touch wood) I'm looking forward to moving back to Kingswood in July! I may well be selling my house on New Cheltenham road. If you are interested when the time comes, let me know. I just want to get away from the family memories. A fresh start will do me good

If we force the deal with Sainbury's thru; report a sighting of Great Crested Newts on the pitch. That way the ecoyobs presently down at Stapleton will arrive to entrench themselves, creating a rumpus for the Trash snobs (who like the Mayor wont be able to do f-all because they dont really know if they like swampy and his smelly friends or not) and it'll cost Sainsbury's a fortune in enviro charges. Don't forget when you vote in May what a pig's ear the Greens have turned our biggest asset into. Think you'll find our current owners have had a big part in the decline too. Whatever has happened I think it's wrong to let the Mem rot as it has. I often had pieces of old rusty paint fall onto me while standing on the West terrace. No need for it at all.
