One quick comment. 1st half the 82's were all over West Ham and should have been 1 or 2 nil up. Up to 75 minutes and they are still in it. No noise. No atmosphere. Sh*t fans. Sh*t club. The sh*t.

What a sad negative thread, full of sad negative witless posts. For all the 82er whingers, chew on the fact if we don't get a lump of cash from Sainsburys we'll be the 15ers and as for the SL and his millions haters, if we were the recipients we'd be ripping the piss out of the Teds and loving it. I hated what I saw on BBC last week, not just 13000 red scarves, not just the sight of all the work going on at AG, but the sight of their young talented team ripping into a Premiership club and, let's be honest, probably deserving to win...and all we've got to look forward to is possible legal action, probably playoffs in The Conference and hopefully avoiding administration.

This may well be true. I'd still rather be a Gashead.

Agree, but as I'm sure you can understand that isn't what I am saying...I was really responding to some of the truly witless posts directly prior to mine.

However, we are where we are. As this season progresses I am beginning to think out of the disaster of relegation we will emerge a stronger and more united club. We have a young and driven management team and a great squad of players who have a real pride in wearing the shirt. Let the Dark Side of Bristol get on with it. We are doing alright.

On the field, green shoots of recovery are showing. Off the field, we are far from okay.

P.S. No-one deserves to win, especially when they lose 1-0. We didn't apparently deserve to get relegated remember...

In 2007 shed friends of mine admitted to me that their promotion to the championship was overshadowed by our play off final win. We were on the up with new stadium mark 1 in the pipeline and a promising management team Then they were then 1 game away from the premiership with Ashton Vale on the drawing board and it looked as if we would be left in their wake forever. A few short years later, their stadium dreams were shattered and it genuinely looked like they were going to join us in L2. Our trips to Wembley, Cardiff and the FA cup run got far more exposure than they have had in the last 8 years. We are light years behind them in terms of ability to sustain losses but everything else could turn around in a couple of seasons.

Yes all true but at the end of the day he is a turncoat I can understand inbreds from darkest Somerset following that pile of s***e but those who stood on the tote and then changed I have no time for .the man is obviously highly intelligent and successful but who in their right mind would swap the black swan on Stapleton rd for the ship and castle I think the days of being from a particular area are long gone. I'm from Downend and grew up in Fishponds yet watch all my football in BS3 and always have. Fair play if Lansdown chose to do the same. He's a sound bloke though, really down to earth despite all his wealth. Yet you said in another post that you were the only s**thead in the village? I think family and geographical allegiances are still intact it's just that the ineptness of both Bristol teams over a long period of time has encouraged our youngsters to follow premiership clubs instead.

Hopefully their manager is doing a good enough job to attract the attention of a decent club, then normal service will be resumed at Ashton.
