If we get a CEO who happens to be a mate of Box 1 who happens to be good at what needs to be happening, then I would be pleased at the happenings, regardless of whether NH happened to know him. You might as well say "if we get a puppet I will be happy so long as he isn't a puppet".

So we are in the Conference and lose 3/4 of our funding and we appoint someone on a non playing part of the staff who will no doubt take a salary. 1. more money down the drain 2. we need to spend on players 3. It wont make any difference as to the way the club is wrong
We need a CEO? No we need a good team

New board members, new investment, new cider. Watch this space Exciting times at The Mem, I can barely contain myself. Who can he (or they) be? But then again it is a distraction from our recent relegation from the Football League. Good 'ere, 'ennit?

Oh gawd, Please no, not a Thatchers end FFS. White Lightning End would be more appropriate.
Perhaps they could give out free samples to ensure everyone is too hammered to notice we are playing Alfreton at home in a non-league match.

Will need to in crates I wouldn't drink that stuff if it were free. It makes me lose any sense of reality and is more like an hallucinogenic drug than any other drink, including Absinthe , maybe would help with the dross we have endured

It would be money well spent, just as buying a decent player who could have scored a couple of goals would have been well worth it by keeping us up. But don't worry. I am speaking purely hypothetically. It's not going to happen.

I must say I've had my doubts about appointing a CEO, even though everyone else seems to think it's a brilliant idea. We have a Chairman (not sure who), a Board (ditto), a Director of Football (as I write), a Finance Director, a Press Officer, and a Manager. I'm really not sure how much that leaves a CEO to do for his/her £75,000 a year (just guessing). If we had money to burn, then maybe so, but it seems to me an expense too far. If some say we need a CEO because all the previously mentioned officials aren't doing enough, or aren't doing their jobs well enough, then the guilty parties should be replaced, not overseen by yet another layer of officialdom. Meanwhile we've got just about enough decent players for a five-a-side at the moment, and spending time and money seeking replacements and additions to them should be a much higher priority than appointing a CEO.
That's my opinion, anyway.

We have a Chairman (not sure who) Who couln't lead Shane McGowan to a pub, a Board (ditto) Full of twats, a Director of Football (as I write) Who has just been sacked, a Finance Director Don't even get me started!, a Press Officer Kirsty Who?, and a Manager Have we? I've stopped counting. I'm really not sure how much that leaves a CEO to do for his/her £75,000 a year (just guessing). If we had money to burn, then maybe so, but it seems to me an expense too far. That's my opinion, anyway. If a competent CEO is able to select a manager that can last at the club more than a year without having to be carted off and paid off then he will have paid for his own salary already. Not to mention developing a better scouting policy and a more sensible wage structure that is in line with other clubs in our division - and who seem to be able to find success without the need to fruitlessly sprinkle cash around like confetti... That all assumes we get someone competent in of course - rather than just asking FoD (friend of God), MoD (mate of GoD) or RoD (relative of GoD) to do the job.

The club won't change until every last one of them has gone at the end of the day. Anybody who thinks otherwise really hasn't been paying attention.
