Is it known how long a permanent deal he has signed? 18 months. Thanks, Chewie!

Are we getting a bit over excited here ? Ok we have signed a striker from the championship, so he must be fairly good, but we will be his 13th club, he will be 33 on Thursday, he has played 352 league games and 12 internationals and scored 80 goals, that's 1 goal every 4.4 games not exactly prolific is it. I really hope he bangs in loads over the coming weeks but on these averages it could be he gets 4 between now and the season end. Good luck Jermaine, hope you can shoot us to glory.

I look forward to completely deriding Easter five years after he has left the club on continual new threads about his "attitude" and concerning the question of whether or not I would have him back.
Welcome, Jermaine!

I shot to glory once. My Mrs was livid.

Doesn't sound very permanent. It sounds spot on to me, given Jermaine Easter's age that is. If we aren't where we want to be in 18 months, then he clearly wasn't the answer to our problems. But if we are, then there is always the possibility of an extension. Avoid long contracts wherever possible, should be (and does appear to be) our new watchword.

There is no way he's on £5k a week. Probably the only positive of relegation is the end of the days of us giving out mental contracts.

That's my thinking as well, it could be argued that he has underachieved over his career but he is too good for the Conference still surely?
I just hope that he can live up to the hype.

Read this this morning but could not comment as technically can not view the forum at work. Really surprised that it is rather a quiet welcome for what at this level is a fantastic catch. Good for the player as he gets more of a family life, good for us as we get quality, somebody for the youngsters like Harrison to learn from. I am not worried what incentives we have had to offer, to get him here on an 18 month deal is a great bit of business (also he is Welsh )

Haha what a joke, the man has dropped down 3 divisions to play for us so of course we should get excited, what other side in this division would say no thanks.will turn out to be the best striker we've had since lambert,he is just what we need,if we had him at the start of the season we wouldn't have drawn 11 and would be top, think of all the games where we have spurned chance after chance.he will make the difference between winning and drawing
