What other club regularly attracts upwards of 6,000, as a decent chance of promotion plus potentially a new stadium &/or debts cleared. Possibly none in Div 2 & the Conference, and I doubt many in Div 1. If somebody wants to invest in a lower league club we're probably as attractive proposition as any? If we were that attractive and the Sainsburys deal that water tight I believe NH would have already sold us and recouped his investment We aren't, it isn't and therefore he hasn't. Happy New Year all.

Happy New Year all. I somehow doubt anyone's going to take the club off Nick's hands purely on the basis of him telling them that the contract with our cowboy supermarket friends is watertight. I would have thought the time for action will only come when the money is located firmly in the club's possession. Which, to clarify, may or may not yet happen (before you get your knickers in a twist).

With £30m in the bank we must be a v. attractive proposition w/o NH would probably have to pay somebody to take it off his hands. Although I assume anybody really interested in buying the club may a bit more than us what Sainsbury's are proposing to do, assuming they are proposing anything to the club that is.

Well we all know how close the SC Chairman is to a certain BoD member! Sadly, I don't know anybody ITK and I've never been near Colin Williams' box - so I haven't got a clue regarding the above. To an ordinary pleb like myself, it sometimes seems like people are talking in riddles on here. They must be intelligent riddles in that case 'cos because like you I also have no idea what people are on about most of the time either. They are like the moon controlling the tides and when it's a full moon, well look out !

I know this is old news, but I have just read an article dated the 17th November 2014 that says Sainsburys are going to build at the Mem in the next 3 years

Priceless. where did you read that article ? gas2 - I think you've clicked 'quote' on the post below the one you meant to, and then typed your question in monstermonsters update. It's a bit confusing but the 'quote' button to use is situated at the top of each post.

If they were n't why say it? The daily mail were only quoting what BCC were quoting at the time. IMO Topper Gas is right to be doubtfull about the comment in the mail pointing to Sainsbury's honouring the contract. i remember someone saying some time ago that it is not even a garden but a plaza no where near large enough for a netball game let alone football or rugby. don't shoot me for pointing this out but it was a rugby supporter who said it.
