I can't recall either of those ever played for England or scored 1 goal in every two league games for thier former clubs? Which one was that?Surely you dont mean Taylor, career record 102 games 29 goals, best seasons return is 10 presumably Taylor is the one who has played for England (England C?) and White had a very good tally for Salisbury. 37 in 73 games apparently

Regardless of who Taylor has played for his record speaks for itself,as for White i need to check his career record before commenting on him,but if he is deemed by DC to be less effective striker than Taylor it cant be that good.Bennett at Gosport may be 32 but he consistently scores 20 plus per season and would definitely be worth bringing him in on trial or loan, already got nearly as many as the entire Rovers squad this season

Just got career record for White. Southampton 2 + 1 0 goals Shrewsbury 4 + 6 1 goal Eastleigh 0 + 1 0 goals Salisbury 15 + 17 11 goals Rovers 3 + 5 0 goals Total 24 + 30 12 goals
There is no indication as to how many minutes if any he played as a sub .Percentage wise Taylor stands at 28% but have not included sub appearances because they arent available whereas White is either 50 % or if subs are included 22%

Should of signed cureton when we had the chance, he would get a hatful against the opposition we've faced so far. Exactly what I've been thinking (and saying) for quite some time now, but it makes little or no difference as he's too old you see.

Taylor is definitely awful, hate to say it but a striker that cannot score goals isn't a very good striker no matter how many chances he creates, because it's not the other players main duties to be taking these chances. He has missed so many 1v1s and just isn't good enough. I'd rather have a prolific striker than goals from all players.

I see O,Toole wasnt in Northamptons matchday squad yesterday, seems he has fallen out of favour, wonder if a 3 month loan would be on,regardless of his apparent lack of interest he would at least be a goal threat

I'm not sure who would welcome that move less Padstow, us or him.
A player like a fit, motivated John-Joe O'Toole would be what we need. But not the real one, he's an arse.

At a time when the manager is successfully getting the squad to play together, how divisive would it be to re-introduce J-J O'Toole into the squad? In my opinion very. England tried it with Kevin Pietersen and it failed miserably, and even if O'Toole were re-integrated for 3 months what would the terrace view be? He has by his own admission never recovered from the fact that he was released by Watford, and until he gets back there he'll never put his heart and soul into a club. And if he doesn't then, well . . . Some things are best left in the past.
