Just been on the Coventry City Forum, they have a court hearing this coming week to decide their future and they are not optimistic about the outcome, talking of a merger with Northampton or forming a new club AFC Coventry out of the ashes of the old one,and guess what they have their own fall guy,his name? Higgs, coincidence or what Sad days and the number of clubs in serious trouble appears to escalating alarmingly.

They are millions in debt, lost tens of millions last season due to low attendances just like being advocated on here, and if that happens to Rovers,as a conference club they will be thrown out to play teams like Yate and Mangotsfield, never to recover, but hey ho thats probably what this is all about,Rovers die and the rugby club get a new stadium courtesy of SL,and revenge on Rovers and their fans

The Football League are desperate not to loose high profile Clubs due to financial issues. Look at the chances given to the likes of Pompey, Bournemouth, Leeds over the years, only Luton have really felt their wrath. However the story building up about WW basically flouting rules on paying agents, third party ownership and FFP does suggest that somewhere along the line one club will have to be made an example of.
In Italy clubs like Fiorentina, Pisa, Cagliari and others have been kicked down 4 or 5 divisions or been wound up due to financial irregularities.
If there is evidence that WW really have flouted many of the regulations it will be very interesting to see what actIon the FL & FA takes as any lack of proper penalty will be seen by many clubs as the Green light to do whatever they please.
It's an interesting one that could run and run, the possibility of Rovers being reinstated or compensated has to be there, depends on the stance the authorities decide to take!

Alveston much as would like to see BRFC reinstated into the Football League, logic tells me that it's a no-no.
I think that the best that they can hope for is to be compensated in the form of dosh, and that is most certainly not a foregone conclusion.
