Seems a lot of people are fed up with the treatment us fans get from the club and even those who have been in denial are coming round. It seems we are not being listened to and responded to when we ask questions.
I read yesterday how one postponed game caused Exeter massive financial problems last year and if all Rovers fans threatened a boycott the opening home game of season surely this would force the club to play ball (excuse the pun) and become more transparent.
How would any other type of business survive if they treated their customers like this???

Time to support the club and cut out negativity.

I agree with kippogas. I feel that we should do something like this. Maybe not the first game, but one of the early games. The trouble is you have to have massive support otherwise it will just go unnoticed. Also, as a season ticket holder, they get my money anyway (although I'm happier that the club won't be financially hurt).
Or maybe something like turn up 15 minutes late. Just something that says we as a fan base shouldn't be taken for granted, even though we don't want to damage the club.

Yeah, let's make our financial predicament even worse..! That'll show the board. The sooner we go into admin & bankrupt the better. Let's all help and run this club into the ground. Then we can tell the board "told you so" Can't believe someone is telling everyone to help contribute and get Rovers into massive financial problems. *FACE PALM*

Have we not seen enough of this board that even if nobody turned up it would not change them?

My plan already is to boycott the first game at home. Shall go for a few drinks as normal but won't be going to the game. If there is a mass boycott & the board recognise the importance of the fans & the need for change then I'll happily give the club the £20 they missed out on when I didn't watch the game.
Perhaps a mass boycott (or maybe everyone arriving at halftime) & those that don't want to financially harm the club donate cash in some other way perhaps through BRISA or JontheStripe thing from the OF if it's up & running.

Plenty of season tickets already sold. 2. It's weird that failure is met with reward though isn't it? Our highest Football League attendance for a couple of years on the day we were relegated. Using your logic the club should get into a relegation predicament every year and we'll see higher gates = more money for the club. We can ensure financial security of BRFC by being in the bottom four in April year in year out.

I have actually done that more than once over the past couple of years, got to the pub before the game and decided to stay for the afternoon rather than let the football ruin the day

What's the line from the song - We will ALWAYS support the boys in blue (and white). I don't thinks the next line says 'except when got the hump and want a protest'.

Maybe wait and see how the Review goes and the Fans Forum in July before making a decision. The most effective protest I've seen is the turning backs away from the pitch at a given time during a game. But first why not see if there will be changes.

I am sure the BoD already have an inkling of the feelings of many, many Gasheads. My guess is that a few of them read this very forum. Whether they grow up and build bridges (and a stadium) is up to them, but hitting the club financially is pure madness IMHO.

I fully understand the opinions of those who say we should support the club whatever, I used to be one of them.
Fact is, nothing is going to change until this BoD is forced out.

What about a similar sort of protest that won't hurt financially? Mass turn backs to the pitch at a certain time? Will hurt a bit if you have a seat though. I prefer the symbolism thing to a financial protest. Perhaps not turning backs to the pitch; after all the players need our support, and there will probably be a fair number who had no part to play last year. If a protest of some sort is deemed necessary, then turning backs to Box 1 might be more appropriate. Perhaps at a certain point; a poignant time in the game. I'm struggling to think of one though. Maybe when the injury time is announced, as a reminder of the end of the last game of last season.
