Mobile phone addiction in children getting a lot of coverage too, I cant help wondering if the BBC are a bit worried that younger people use social media for news etc. No doubt there is a problem though, but I can remember when there was concern that people were addicted to TV,I have been in houses where the TV is on even when no one is watching it, probably only turned off when people go to bed and back on in the morning.

A lot of talk this week about the banning of selling cigarettes, anyone who is 15 now will never be able to buy cigarettes legally in Britain. In the 70s or 80s it would have been a huge story but smoking is a dying habit (sorry) anyway, not so many people smoke and as older smokers die less and less youngsters taking it up which is sensible.
Some politicians saying "what next" ? but lots of things have been banned for health reasons before, you cant drink and drive, you cant ride a motorcycle without a crash helmet, drive without wearing a seatbelt, smoke in a public place, asbestos is banned.
I do wonder if contact sport might be banned in future or rules altered, boxers to wear head guards ? only touch rugby and no scrums ? no heading in football ? no punchups in ice hockey?
I think that canned beers are not allowed to be as strong now ? and I wonder if beers/ciders might have to be sold at less than 3% in future, spirits could be banned too.

My good lady and i have never smoked, but everyone else in our families do, did and does, about 20 people or so.. They are now saying that e-cigs / pipes are not what they are cracked up to be, bring back the party 7 (been watching Life on Mars recently)..

I'm considering getting a betting account for next football season.
The other day I thought,'well if Cotswolds Robins are gonna get a result it really has to be at Burton Albion.
I also thought Rovers would beat Cambridge, seeing as MT is now selecting his best 11 Rossitter back etc.
A CTFC and BRFC groovy little £5 double i thought.
Hmm,did'nt bet ,though i would of done if i had an account.
Never bet more than you can afford to lose.

I think that after WW2 the amount of adults who smoked in Britain was 80 or 90% its down to 13% now so its going to die out anyway but still a good idea to ban it. A wise decision not to start BT, a lot of people have got addicted to smoking and you can be sure that they wish that they never started, same as people who just start taking Cocaine 'recreationally' its so addictive that some people are addicted after their first time using the stuff.

I read that a body builder had been found dead from using drugs, methamphetamine and cocaine, he had started using steroids for his bodybuilding and suffered from side effects (depression being one) and his life spiralled into further drug use... I have noticed less people are using steroids over the last 10 years, all these drugs have side effects, today they are talking about people in their 20s having bladder surgery because of their ketamine use....
They talk ablout education but some people just dont seenm to give a to$$,people doing speedballs, blokes doing cocaine so that they can booze all weekend, people doing viagra/steroids or cocaine/steroids....surely you dont need education to know that these are bad choices ?

I think that having a betting account and being able to bet by phone is a big problem for some people, they could lose hundreds of pounds during their lunch break sat at work....possibly those same people would never have placed a bet if they had to go into a bookmakers, its been made too easy and for some its a huge problem.
