We have lots of females working at BRFC. I'd be happy with a female in any of the top jobs, providing they were the best candidate for the job as opposed to it being gender favourable. I'm not sure whats more insulting, giving someone a job knowing they arent best suited to it knowing it will swamp them or giving someone a job just because they have a preferred set of chromosones and nothing to do with ability? It's like saying would you rather have, someone thats better than David Bright (obvs) or someone who has the same ability as David Bright just in female guise? Which one is going to move the club forward more? There we have the crux of the problem. Women have to go the extra mile to even get interviewed for traditional male jobs, hence the need for positive discrimination in the first place. It's patriarchal attitudes that need to change. Empower the women and educate the men Do they really? I think the patricarchal attitudes changed years ago. Perhaps in the 70's and 80's women were marginalised but since the turn of the mellenium, especially into the late 10's, if a woman is as equally qualified for the role she will qualify for an interview. I work in a very male dominated industry, the true facts are that its male dominated because very few women are interested in cars and even less are qualified within it. However the women I have worked with have mostly been excellent and very competent and have climbed the corporate ladder on merit and ability. At the last manufacturer group I worked at in 2009 I employed 6 excellent women and had to report to a female director.

Yes, with Glamorgan. In Wales. Where TG resides. With his wife. And so does DB, with his wife.
.... anyone joining the dots yet?He replaced a local girl who had been working since 2013 that was made redundant, but he took her duties on. With no external interview opened. .... anyone joining the dots yet? Hb is clever chap. Her knows most if not all of this. I'm rubbish at dot to dot. Living in the same country doesn't seem to imply very much. However, I think when DB was brought in, there was a suggestion that there was a connection between the two. Unsure what the interview process was like. Formal interview process. BRFC. Mmmm... Are you suggesting that DB and TG are more than just former work colleagues? And if they are, what bearing does that have on 'things'? Not bcfc1982 stirring. Just interested. Nepotism. It's cost the club money at least once in last 12 months.wirh litigants. This isn't the club I recognise. Certainly not as a fair employer when TG has been ceo. We've done those threads before. Ps there may be more to come.

Forest Green got plenty of national publicity fir appointing their female academy manager as caretaker manager. Just feel we need more female representation. Which one is going to move the club forward more? I'm afraid the great Martin Luther King famous speech has been thrown out in favour of pc. It's a shame. I was always thinking there's equal opportunity based on ability..it taint like that now. I've never known our club be taken to task in a tribunal for unfair dismissal before TG? Maybe there have always been disgruntled employees but to unilaterally get rid of loyal, established staff and appointment the likes of DB whom only lasts 18 months is hardly ability based appointment, is it?
