So, the last match of the season!?
What a difference a year makes?
So much resting on last season, so little (in terms of final resting place) on this..
I hope we give them a game....we certainly did up there but just couldn't see it over the line with an equaliser from our old friend DC....whom scored a few the season against us for Accy.
See some of you later.... it's an average time to be a GasHead. All I ever wanted was at a minimum to be where our historical place dictated - I think we're almost there, save a few places - and to compete against 3rd division opponents.
But, we haven't managed to beat any of the top 6 yet....in fact we've only laid claims to 3 points to 2 of the top 10 all season before a ball is kicked at midday.
Perhaps on reflection a hard division with some big bruisers?
Our budget and resources don't reflect where we are and for me, too many players have underperformed and been too inconsistent.
Some work to do before August start up again.
Back to today....
I see a disappointment in a draw again.
1-1.
If we were on the beach previously, we're in the sea today.

There are several players seemingly playing their last game for Rovers. I can't see anything other than a Bolton victory.
We then have a few months off before getting to look forward to another season of the chaos and charisma of Joey B*****.

Hmm,well Wanderers won't be giving their all,at least I doubt it.Safely in play offs,i imagine players will be rested.
Will JB get the best out of individuals in our last game before 'the beach'?
Not a friendly, but not so obviously vital.
I hope to see Rovers give it their all and if we win today, we may at least finish top of last seasons promoted fc.Grecians can finish higher.Players maybe playing for their Rovers future or at least to impress a potential new fc.
It feels like a 'cheerio' till next time game.
Hopefully the new South Stand will be up and we'll be ready with a new exciting squad,ready to challenge.

I'm back in the UK this August and despite not having seen Rovers live for 8 years, this seasons performance is hardly inspiring me to get to a game while I'm there.
But of course I will.

2 points from a the last 21. The team really has let down Joe. 1 point from the last 6 fixtures - same as the relegation season under B*****. 2 points from the last 7 fixtures. B***** would surely have been in the running for manager of the season, if it wasn't for the team consistently letting him down. |
